As of last friday, I'm #1. I got accepted to the ABSN, but i'm going to hold off for the ELMSN.

I also got waitlisted. I'm #2, so I am very hopeful that i will get in. What number are you guys on the waitlist?

Congratulations everyone! I'm just curious to know if anyone who had a group interview received an acceptance. It seems like most of you guys who got accepted had one on one or phone interviews.

I dreamt last night that I received a letter from smu, but it was just a carbon copy of my interview schedule. Weird! I'm gonna lose it by Friday. Lol The suspense is killing me!

I keep over analyzing everything I did or said. I was really hoping to know by the end of this week if we got accepted, but after reading this post it seems like that is not going to happen. I wonder if anyone from our group got an early acceptance... Mallory, I think it says on NursingCas that we can't make changes on our personal statement after it has been submitted, which sucks. I don't think you talked too much, you made some good points. =) Sabina, I was wondering the same thing about how much the interview is weighed. I wonder if those who made it to the interview are all on the same playing field (if that makes any sense) Well, it was nice meeting you two! Hopefully we are all get accepted.

Yes, they did say at our interview that there was another interview being held after us which was a smaller group. SAbina, how do u think they interview went?

Yes, I shadowed a NP in rhode island . I am trying to shadow one at Sutter General since i volunteer there, but i am having a hard time arranging something. Have you shadowed, volunteered, or have health care experience?

I know I love this site! I just turned 30..(still not used to saying 30) My BS is in Criminal Justice and i also applied to the absn program as well. i wonder how many ppl are going to be in our group.. have u applied anywhere else?

I received an email today for an interview on Aug 28th 10-12 pm. Excited and nervous!!

I talked with ------ and she said bec of the new NursingCAS system they will call for interviews late aug early sept....Let me know if you guys hear anything different.

What I meant was she said be general about FNP and Nurse bec u are apply to both, not about your passion for the field. That's why I'm having a hard time balancing both fnp and nurse in my essay. I agree, the more passionate you show you are the better. Good Luck!

According to Liza, NursingCas only allows you to do one personal statement. She told me to keep it general since I'm applying to both absn and elmsn. So I'm writing about why i want to do nursing and eventually be a fnp. I volunteer at a local hospital in the ER dept where there are no NP's and did some job shadowing with an np. Other than that, I don't have any real experience working with a NP. I would call and find out if you can send additional info to them after you have submitted you application bec I'm not sure that you can.

Originally that is what I did, multiplied the units by 4, but they want us to write what the amount is under units on our transcript. My understanding is that credits are equivalent to units, just different wording.
