OMG!!! THANK GOODNESS THAT YOU CHANGED YOUR MIND!!! You're going to succeed!!! I know how you feel but you've made it through Nursing school, that was truly the tough part...now it's just a silly exam. I will pray for you that you find the money and time to try again. Do you live in the cleveland area? Please, please don't give up....I want you to post your success story...I'll look for it:anpom:

NCLEX review class option for CLEVELAND area
well...this "team of two" is quite well known in this area (other than Kaplan, they're the only option...or so we've been told). I'm not sure if "bad" is a correct word...but, I would definitely NOT recommend anyone due to honesty/integrity and legal issues (they actually brag about being investigated! how crazy is that! but, many know the truth behind that too). So, if that works for you...well, go for it. But, I know so many who have not yet taken the exam that felt like they were forced to go that route. And those who did not pass the first time are really getting taken advantage of (lets not mention if you're a "foreigner" then they really have you...highest quote I heard was 6K!! now that's outrageous). This post is for those I just mentioned above. Klimek takes you as you are and really gives you the tools you need to feel confident and succeed :)

NCLEX review class option for CLEVELAND area
Hello everyone, If you really want to pass the NCLEX, and be fully confident that you can do it, then you HAVE to take the Mark Klimek NCLEX review. It might be a bit of a drive, but it's worth it! I just got back from his class and feel very confident that I can pass the NCLEX. His review is a weekend chock full of NCLEX strategies and invaluable advice on what NCLEX test writers are looking for (and he speaks from personal experience ). I wish I had taken this the first time I took the NCLEX, I would have passed it on the first try. However, haven taken the NCLEX once, I could say with 100% certainty that what he teaches REALLY DOES help you pass the NCLEX. If you are in the Cleveland, OH area, you know that there are not many options in NCLEX review. Kaplan is ok but not very personal (they are a standardized company, teaching about a standardized exam...I'm not good with "standardized" anything, some people are though). The second option...well, if you're cool w/ being demeaned, verbally abused and, told how "dumb" you are then that might be an option for you. I'm not good w/ confidence killer, I need a confidence builder. Also, just doing 100's of questions w/o REALLY knowing why I keep getting things wrong, doesn't sit well w/ me either. Oh sure, I can be told that it's the right answer, but I NEED to know WHY is it a right answer in question 309 and then question 558 comes around and now I'm wrong Mark Klimek erases the "mystery" out of NCLEX and leaves you feeling good about yourself, refreshed and confident that you know what you are being asked. Even if you have to spend $50 for gas and two nights @ a hotel/motel (go w/ friends and split a room)...IT'S STILL CHEAPER!!!! And, most importantly, YOU GET A LOT OUT OF IT!!! it's all about CONFIDENCE, CONFIDENCE, CONFIDENCE that you can do it. When I came back home, I reviewed what I learned in class (you come home w/ two very helpful books), applied it to the ATI and Kaplan exams and I scored higher than ever! I know this is a long post, but I'm so excited to know that there are options out there and, I feel that everyone should be aware of this great resource! Good luck everyone

Any feedback on Mark Klimek NCLEX review???
MARK KLIMEK IS AWESOME!!!! This is a must take class, no matter where you live...drive to his review for the weekend. It's worth it!!!! check out his website (google Mark Klimek NCLEX review). It really breaks down the NCLEX to its fundamental level and you leave his course feeling very confident that you can do it. If you live in the Cleveland area, don't waste your money spending $400+ or thousands (if you didn't pass the first time), take the drive and get the NCLEX strategies and CONFIDENCE!!! You'll be happy you did! Good luck on your NCLEX everyone

ATI vs NCLEX
OMG!!! Why does our schools FORCE us to stick w/ what DOES NOT work???? Same story here. Didn't pass w/ ATI predictor and now, I HAD to sign up for the virtual ATI (ok...maybe not forced but instructors/advisor said "well, you really, really should take the ATI", it felt like if I didn't sign up for the virtual ATI, if something happened that I didn't pass again, then it would be my fault for not listening to the "advice". Now, after reading these posts, I really wish I spent my money on Kaplan vs. Virtual ATI. Then again, two other students in my class took the virtual ATI and passed @ 75...so the lesson is...1) if it don't work, don't do it again...2) one plan does NOT fit all... back to studying

KAPLAN QBANK (Q BANK)????
thanks! I'm going to call them on Monday and see what specials they have (I've also taken the LSAT w/ them and did fairly well...I think they offer discounts for "return" customers ) for those who took the Qbank I just wanted to know if I can get what I need out of their CD that comes w/ the book...well...looking on all these posts, I think that I rushed through the last 10 questions and really (unknowingly) "threw" the test..darn!

ATI vs NCLEX
ATI predictor said 95% that I would pass the NCLEX on my first try. Well..here I am studying to take it for the second time a HUGE part that the ATI missed was PRIORITY PRIORITY PRIORITY!!! Delegation was not even touched on and the med questions were a joke compared to the NCLEX. I studied before I took the NCLEX but the prioritization/delegation/infection control really threw me for a loop! I DID NOT expect those. Nowhere in the study materials does ATI really emphasize those points. So, when I was studying, I was just "glancing over" that but going for the comprehension stuff a lot more. Well, that was my fatal mistake. I had "near passing" on all sections except the most important one.... I really wish I had looked over this site BEFORE my FIRST NCLEX. Just look to see what everyone else said they did to help them out (Saunders, Kaplan, LaCharity)...PRIORITIZATION/DELEGATION/INFECTION CONTROL/MEDS (and not questions that give you a "clue" to what the med might be used for but REALLY, REALLY know your meds!!!!)

Help for NCLEX study in Cleveland Area
some of my classmates said that they went through the Sunders CD and did all 4K+ questions...I'm actually going to an NCLEX strategy class next weekend...Have you asked any of your classmates what they did to be successful? Looking back at it, I rushed through the studying (I thought that since I did well in classes that I don't really need any NCLEX review classes). Now, I'm kind of glad I have the 45 days to do what I have to. We can't be hopeless, like I said before, we made it through nursing school...this is just a silly test, we'll get through it :)

Any feedback on Mark Klimek NCLEX review???
Thanks for the feedback. I thought that I put a lot of effort in studying before but after not passing the darn thing, now I need someone to show me where I'm going wrong....since there's no reasonable person in my area who can help (Kaplan courses don't start 'till mid March)...then I feel like I have no choice.

Should I take Mark Klimek's class if I have already taken Kaplan?
Hi, have you taken his course? Did you take your NCLEX? I'm currently wondering if I should take his course...it's coming up in about a week.

Any feedback on Mark Klimek NCLEX review???
Hello everyone! Has anyone taken an NCLEX review course given by Mark Klimek? How did it go? Anyone out there who has passed the NCLEX after taking his course care to share their experience? Did his strategies help? He seems like a very nice person and the rates are VERY reasonable... Thanks! :)

Help for NCLEX study in Cleveland Area
Hi Bulinutza78, you mentioned you're from Eastern Europe..I know that things are taught differently there. I'm Romanian and although I've been here in the States since grade school, the wording messed with me too. I wasn't sure what they were looking for. I graduated from a very good Nursing school with a high GPA but standardized exams really get to me. My cousin explained some tricks to me in Romanian and it made a lot of sense (I should have talked to her before I took the darn thing). Maybe if you know someone who speaks your language and has been successful on the exam, you may understand the questions. I have just signed up for the ATI online course and have ordered all the above mentioned books from the library (save some $$ :) ) But the best thing is just talking to my cousin and friend (both successful w/ 75 questions...both took some review course before taking the NCLEX). Good luck everyone! And again, thanks for the advice.

LaCharity sounds like the thing to have :). See, that's why I LOVE nursing...people are (usually) in it to help others (not just themselves). I don't want this to be an anti-Buszta thread, her classes are great and everyone that I know that took them did FANTASTIC on the NCLEX...I think we're all just upset that some privileges are not available for those who really need them . You either show up there with cash in had or don't show up at all. It would be more tolerable if she tried to work with those less fortunate. Well, I'm sure we're all going to get through this...after all, we did make it through Nursing School (w/o the Buszta).

Thanks for the info caliotter3! The Buszta class sounds fantastic (for those who can afford it). I've done it on my own once...I was very familiar with the material but was reading waaaay to much into everything. I really need someone to teach me how to test (and deal with my test anxiety). I will definitely look at the LaCharity book (prioritization and Endocrine were my weak areas). Someone else (in a diff state) mentioned the Kaplan book. I'm going to the bookstore this week. It would be very helpful to have a "real person" to get me on the right track. Thanks again!!!

Help for NCLEX study in Cleveland Area
Hello, I'm new to this site but I'm a bit desperate. Just found out I failed my NCLEX after 265 questions. Anyone have suggestions for NCLEX review classes available in the Cleveland OH area? Kaplan does not start until March and I'm not rich enough for the $1200 Buszta (wish I had the $450 a month ago but, that's life...sometimes kicks you when you're down). I really want to get this done in 45 days and move on with my life. Thanks everyone!
