Now that I have 1 year experience I want to work in a NICU in Florida...what are the chances of me earning $27 in Miami area having the one year experience and being able to talk and write fluently in Spanish?
  5. Hello everyone... I take the NCLEX March 10th....(not to mention that's my birthday)...so I am truly nervous about the test. I know that God will help me through this...and I believe that passing this exam will be my birthday gift this year. I just want to say to all the people taking the NCLEX this month is that we can get through this..... God will not abanden us at the finishline.
  6. So I have been studying for the past month and doing 100 questions a day on whatever system I am studying and if I get 75% or more I move on to the next system. The problem is that I feel like I forgot most of the things I studied the first 2 weeks I began to study (a month ago)....so right now I'm feeling like is there any point in studying?? I feel like I waste time trying to remember things just so that I can forget them later. I was trying to Set my ATT for March 15 but now I feel like I should push it to March 20th. I kno the downside to this is that by March 20th it will be 3 months since I've been out of school...and its more time I have to forget earlier information I studied. I feel so distraught and withouth hope. I need something to uplift me and motivate me because I can see my self sinking into this depression due to all the stress....I find myself breaking down and crying and just being in the worst mood. I just find it so sad that one test can make me feel this way....and this is only my first time taking it. God only knows if I will be able to do this again if I were to fail the first time.
  7. Thank you for the responses...I will definitely take them into consideration.
  8. I taking NCLEX in March and I am starting to freak out and lose sleep of how stressed I feel. I start my orientation FEB 15 and plan to take my test the 2nd week or March, but I know that once I start work I will have less time to study. I have the Saunders 4th edition and find it helpful for review....the only problem is that I find myself studying one body system (1 CHapter in the Saunders book) for 3 days. I am still doing 100 questions a day no matter what, but I find myself studying all day and feel like I'm spending way too much time studying one system. The Saunders' CD made a schedule for me (to complete in 6 weeks), the only problem is that it's telling me to do like 2-3 chapters a day and I honestly do not know how I can study these 2-3 chapters in ONE DAY when i can barely finish 1 chapter in a day. I took the Martin's review and found the material helpful and I also have a Kaplan's and ATI book that reviews information, so I also find myself studying with 4 different books because each one says something in addition to what the original book said. From reading many of the posts here, a lot of people just pass by doing questions and reading rationales, but I get discouraged when I get 60% on the exams and feel like I do not know anything. I know I shouldn't doubt myself too much because I did well in nursing school with A's and B's, but it's hard for me not to doubt. I also wish I could study only 4-5 hours of the day like most people do, but between studying and doing NCLEX questions I am up until 2 am each day! :uhoh3:I definately feel like I'm buring out and I havn't even taken the test yet. I want nothing else but to be a nurse and pass this test on the first time....please HELP!!!!
  9. Does anyone know if Suzane is still willing to help people individually because I really need some guidance on how to study........Desperately!
  10. I keep hearing about the Kaplan Q bank. I have a Kaplan book but I don't see anything about accessing a Q bank online. I was wondering if there is anyone who passed the NCLEX and is no longer using the Kaplan information to share that information with me because I am taking my NCLEX soon and I am really begining to feel anxious. I want something that can show me how I am progressing as far as studying for the NCLEX. HELP PLEASE anyone!
  11. I am also taking this test in March and I am starting to freak out and lose sleep of how stressed I feel. I start my orientation FEB 15 and plan to take my test the first week or March, but I know that once I start work I will have less time to study. I have the Saunders 4th edition and find it helpful for review....the only problem is that I find myself studying one body system (ex-GI) for adults, peds and the meds (related to that body system all in for 3 days). I took the Martin's review and found the material helpful and I also have a Kaplan's and ATI book, so I also find myself studying with 4 different books because each one says something in addition to what the original book said. HELP!!!!....ANY tips on how to better my study habits???????
