  1. I was wondering if you got an answer to this question as our nurses are sometimes in the same situation in Florida?
  2. We had finger cots for that - just covered the one finger you used to insert the suppository.
  3. Oh my - I had forgotten this but yes we were told to not wear gloves with a colostomy bag changing as it might embarrass the patient. I have enjoyed reading these posts and remembering the "old days".
  4. Thanks for the recommendation. I have looked at their web-site and will follow-up.
  5. I am considering a position and one of the requirements is to have had a Managing Aggressive Behavior Course. I did an on-line serch but could only find training for instructors - it appears most facilitites which require it provide it "in-house". Anyway, does anyone have any suggestions for how to get into one of these courses? Thanks for your time and help.
  6. Generally the more popular hospitals will require at least a year of travel expereince. Makes it more difficult to get started traveling but there are certainly positions out there which will accept first time travelers. Yes recruiters are going to ask you to fill out an application and start applying for a license somewhere else. But you don't have to do that to get a good recruiter to talk with you about what is available. Be honest with them that this is your first travel experince and you want some specific information before you sit down to fill out an on-line resume and do skills check-list. A good recruiter will listen to you and help you through the process. Good luck!:)
