  1. I am currently a GN at a 540 bed hospital in the Dallas/Ft Worth metroplex. I am going through an internship on a 27-bed transplant unit. Once I PASS :) my NCLEX in Feb, I will be a regular, RN on the unit. I plan to work on the unit for a good while, getting experience under my belt. But recently, I noticed a few of the CCTCs on my unit rounding and having educational conferences with some of the patients. I have my BSN, and am always looking to move up, so I am thinking of getting certified as a Transplant Nurse in a couple of years, then going on to become a coordinator as well. I was just curious what exactly the coordinators do??? Do they have decent hours, or are they always on call?? Whats the pay like, and so forth... If anyone has any information on CCTCs I would really appreciate it!
