I carry my own PCA key on the same ring as my draw and needle box keys, we use PCA's quite frequently on my floor, it's really not a big deal.... the machines have history logs on them . If you can trust your coworkers then maybe you would want to think about changing workplaces. Just need to be aware of where you keep your keys.
  2. Wow so it's like that everywhere..... we like to say welcome to hotel........Fill in the blank ....hospital, because truely with Press-ganey survey scores in our lives it seems to be more about customer service and less about medical care. I also agree with an earlier post that we often have multiple issues going on and can't be 5 places at one time... if management wants customer service then staff in order to have immediate response to all pt's dire needs!!!! This was a great post thanks for letting us blow off steam!
  3. I'm sorry I disagree with the school not being held with some accountability, I find it difficult to believe that this is the first bad stunt this child has pulled, but the school continues to let this child participate in activities. I think you should go to school and demand some response otherwise the situation continues to perpetuate and another child will suffer from this child's cruel, misguided intentions. I'm very sorry for your child and family and hope you recieve support from your community.
