I see med-surg clinical on my schedule .... what is community? I'm sorry lol i'm really lost.

When are we wearing the scrubs neway? I'm a bit confused since the school mentioned we should dress "casual professional" for our psych clinical. Thanks, Christina

thanks ... i have another quick question. the school mentions that students must participate in clinical and laboratory experiences that require exposure of body parts and palpation of body structures by faculty and students of both sexes. What type of clinical and lab exercises are we doing? and who will be exposed patients or students? I hope it certainly is not me lol.

I heard somewhere that we need to take a cpr certification course be4 May 10th. Somehow I never saw that in any of the information packets sent to me. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks :)

make sure you picked the best individuals to write your recommendation letter, Make sure your gpa is competitive, do whatever community service is available to you even if it is not as hands on as you would like ( most of my community service work was assisting spanish speaking patients with filling out medical history forms), and have multiple ppl review your personal essay. (alot of times your professors will be more than happy to review your essay if you give it to them early enough). Hope that helps :)

I thought we are supposed to receive some notice regardless. I'm going to call the financial aid office tomorrow. I'll let you know what they say.

Is this program pretty easy to get into? I heard that mcphs was very easy to get into but I'm wondering how competitive this program is.

I would assume they would let most of you guys know pretty soon( since all those accepted had to give a deposit already) .... I did hear that in the past they would keep students on the waitlist until school started in May. It all depends on where you are placed on the waitlist.

I highly doubted the financial aid office would inform us on a Sunday. I'm assuming anytime this week would be more likely.... I don't understand why the website says the notification date is the 24th.

Question to all those accepted, Did anyone receive info indicating wether or not you received a Merit Scholarship ?.... the website says that new students are notified of scholarship awards in their letter of acceptance. I'm just wondering if this has changed or not. Thanx :)

I was accepted into the program. I have a 3.3 cumulative gpa and have a BA in Biology.... I have only heard great things about the program... I'm excited to be starting soon.
