Yes! I think I've tossed OLOL to the back burner! I'll be done with my pre-reqs by the deadline of Aug. 31! But this is a dumb question....I see you said it is a diploma program....so it is for sure ASN once the program is completed...I've yet to find anything that the site says about it. But I'm glad to get more insight on OLOL from more people on this site, instead of wasting $35 on admission alone! Ohh yes what is one class grade they are looking for? A&P? or Chem?

Yes I am currently taking pre-reqs which is why I am looking at nursing schools.

Hey I'm new to this site. So forgive me if this is posted in the wrong section. I'm from the great state of Washington working on my nursing pre-reqs. I've been looking at schools all around the country. Our Lady of the Lake College in Baton Rouge, LA holds my attention. I would like more information on the schooling as they aren't very good at answering the phones or have a more information request. Is their ASN program entry level to RN? As the curriculum seems very light (as in not so many classes) compared to other ASN programs. What are they most looking for in the essay as I've read in a previous post the essay is heavily weighed & is a big deciding factor? Is this fairly hard school to be accepted? (yes I know every school is very competitive, but they have classes of a 100?) Also the 6 hour class requirement to be accepted? What exactly did you do if you were not a current student at the time you were accepted. That kind of confused me...since I obviously woudn't move down to LA just to take a course at OLOL to apply and be rejected. Another question is the Semester II is that the begining of the nursing program? Thank you Oh yes, BTW, I've been hearing OLOL isn't as great as it seems....why is that..what's so bad about it?

Yes I was talking about OLOL in LA. I was in a hurry when I posted that. I've never heard of BRG, I'm looking at the website right now. I'm am now intersted! Thank you! So there isn't much info on BRG...is this more of a hands-on program (this is why I ask )"The required general education courses are part of the program of study and must be completed at a university of the student's choice approved by the school." Also, what have you heard that was not so great about OLOL?

I'm very interested in OLOL but I've been seeing some horror stories that kinda of turn me off. If you've attented OLOL could you please tell your experiences good or bad? This would be very helpful as I'm in Washington
