  1. Elmp, I don't know about that, as I haven't started yet (just call and ask :), however I do know that you need to meet the Grad. dept. req. as well as the MEPN dept....So I'd ask them too. No harm in asking, and if your uncomfortable leaving your name- don't. Good Luck!
  2. About 11,000 for fall and spring tuition and fees, but summer is almost as many units a fall and spring combined. I don't know the cost yet of summer- prob. about the same :S... worth it, and not as costly as I thought people said. Remember your prices will be a little more. Try andhave some scholarships/ grants set up prior- they don't have any (so far)! Hope this helps, good luck!!!!
  3. Linz, I was told they did but it doesn't show it on my page? I'll add you :), then you should prob edit it off the site.
  4. Has anyone got accepted to be friended by mepn facebook?
  5. Linz, She got in to Penn...gradute student orientation might include a tour? http://www.gso.hawaii.edu Dogersgirl, Thax, I'll try! Lindsay, Sorry ...... but you Will get into a program! You WILL!
  6. So I talk to fin. aid today and letters won't be out till end of April. They said, they have no grants! (and the best scholarship starts in spr ~500 a semester?!?) I'm confused on how I need to accept by mid April, but won't know if I can afford it till end of April?----arg! My girlfriend got in to a prog for MEPN too and she is completely covered by grants, not loans! How can I work for the under served if I'm neck high in debt! Any thoughts?
  7. Margs, Thanks, I can't wait to meet everyone!! BlueFan, I'd be renting, I'd like a housemate that's in the prog. too! I'm going to join the Mepn facebook, so we can all get to know each other a little I'll have a small cat that will need to go outside. Makiki was great and close to downtown for clinicals and UH for classes (I think that's where they are). I have to take micro bio this summer, so I won't have had med term?! :S Maholo Bluefan!
  8. Bluefan, I'm moving back to HI and def need to find a place. Any sugggestion would be awesome as I'm in CA now.
  9. Dodgersgirl, Thanks, me too! Has anyone gotten a Fin Aid packet yet?
  10. I'm in CA and my acceptance papers arrived yesterday. The papers hold very little information other then when a statment of intention is due and other paper due dates. Hope this is helpful!
  11. Purlees, awesome! I'm so glad to hear that our wiser MEPN students are so supportive, it's really Great : ) I know I will have a million burning Qs to come... Like is there a listing or something for nursing students looking for roomates that are nurses too? (Im moving back) Is there a mentoring prog set up? If not would you and your classmates be up for starting one with our class? Where are the classes held, UH main campus? I heard it was some where else?? Any more advice that you wish u had had? What's ur track? Mahalo! And see you soon 8D Erigrl, Will do!
  12. Erigrl (and others waiting) I was very stressed and found reasons to call the office, so I think the call was a favor/ "stop calling", lol. He said that letters would go out in a couple weeks for those accepted, so I'm still hoping for you I will post when I get the letter, if it would help? ps- chem is not a pre req to MEPN, but it is to most micro bio, sorry for the mix up.
  13. Blahblah, I got an A inor. chem. and anatomy, B stats, taking phyis. now (will be an A), and taking micro. in summer. Hope that's helpful! Ps- I got by Bac. at UHM, had a ref. from a nurse and a bio. teacher and volunteer at a hospital.
