  1. Yay Kelly :anpom: I too got my acceptance, woo hoo! Now I can finally start planning... I can't wait for April 5th to get here :heartbeat
  2. Hey All - just talked to Rebecca today and she said the letters for the South Tech group starting April 5th SHOULD go out next week. Keeping my eyes on the mailbox :)
  3. That's great! CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Heck no - if I got a 99% I would have started a whole new thread just to tell the world! That's great, you go girl! From what everyone else has said there has been some issus with the school and teachers and I know when I talked to student aid, gosh, she said it's just been insane around there. I'm sure you will hear soon (not that it helps, I know, it's so nerve wrenching!). All your waiting will be worth it! Let us know the minute you get your acceptance letter! I'll be on vacation from the 11th until the 17th, I'm hoping my letter comes (with positive news!) while I'm away!
  5. Sorry, hit reply too early :) Kleiweke - thanks so much for all the info, I had talked to Rebecca a couple days prior and she wasn't sure, I guess if we all just take turns we will get the info quicker! 2BeeNursey10 - You say they use the HESI for an exit test. Is there a score you must get to pass and receive your diploma? Rudy88 - 99%?! It would be hard not to get accepted! Was that just your adjusted score? My adjusted score was an 89%, and I thought that was stellar! Out of the 4 sections I was in the top 1% for 2 and not far off from that on the others. You really set the bar high!
  6. Rudy88 - will you be going to the met or the south tech location?
  7. Oh my, you poor thing! I didn't know I could financially afford to go until Jan, so I signed up and took the entrance exam on 1/19. Rather late then never I guess! Any who, I've got my fingers crossed for you Kelly, hopefully we'll be seeing each other in April! Ashley
  8. Nurse Puff and 2BeeNursey10.... I just sent in the last of my paperwork for the entrance packet. I also met with financial aid and signed my MPN. Could you tell me about how long it took for you to get your acceptance letter once you finished the entrance packet? I'm just wanting to hear back now, and they won't give me any idea how long I'll be waiting just that they will get to them as soon as they can! Thanks gals - I'd pm you instead but I don't have enough posts yet
  9. I assume each school is different... My interview was an hour long - could have been longer - but the next interview was scheduled already. That person I did my interview with told me I scored perfectly - she was very nice. Any who, we had 13 questions that you could get 5 points each for. My questions were more like "give an example of a time you were faced with a hard decision to make and how you made that decision" and "what do you see to be your strengths and weaknesses?". At the end of the interview she left and I was given a pen and a sheet of paper to write in 10 words why I wanted to be an LPN... Best thing to do is be yourself! You'll do great :)
  10. Are you at the metro location or south location? I checked the pass rates for the nclex and the lowest rate was 98% for Applied Tech - do you feel you are under prepared for the nclex as a result of the course you took?
  11. Wonderful1 I'm actually in Festus, MO - so a little south of St. Louis - I'll have to check that out too. I'm also looking for good LPN to RN bridge programs in the area. If anyone knows of any, I'd love to get a list together for when I'm done with my LPN!
  12. Thank you so so so much for the input! I expect there will be some parts of every program that aren't perfect! I'm so ready for school to start and know the year wil fly by. I've been studying A&P and medical term with my husband who is a nurse and who also teaches at another school - so I hope I'm prepared when April rolls around. It's still just so refreshing to hear someone else who is getting ready to graduate say they liked the program - not that I doubted it - just makes me that much more excited about it starting! Thanks for all the input and again, congrats on your quickly approaching graduation!
  13. Great to hear! Congrats on the upcomming graduation! Just curious, what problems are you finding with the clinicals?
  14. Hey All... I've applied at 2 LPN programs in the St. Louis area - Applied Technology and St. Louis College of Health Careers. Just wondering if anyone else from the area is working on going to either of these programs or if there are any other programs in the area I maybe should look into? I figure it's never too early to make some friends to study with and what not! I'm hoping to hear from Applied Tech soon as the classes start April 5th :)
