  1. sometimes we have to move up and move down the hospital bed. does red pedal mean move down the bed? does green mean move up the bed? thanks.
  2. if you don't document to support your practice, how do you know what you did is correct? what is the underlying rationales? I guess some hospitals probably will provide some documents to RNs to check the correct practice. I think some experinced RNs know how to accurately operate hoist and slings. Hopefully they can help us.
  3. does anybody have solid document to evidence this kind of analysis?
  4. thanks. if the rear two slings use red color, should the front two slings use the same red color?
  5. when we use lift for mobilization, there is one image about hoist inside the webpage: http://www.ilcaustralia.org/home/search4.asp?state=WA&page=6&MC=44&MinC=1 regarding the hoist slings, there are many different colors such as red, yellow, green and blue. what time to use red sling, yellow, green or blue? how to make a good judgement? Meanwhile, see a lift in the attachment - eight hooks.jpg, there are eight hooks to hang the slings, they are divided into four inner hooks and four outer hooks, every time we only need to use four hooks, what time to use four inner hooks and what time to use four outer hooks? please help. Thanks very much.
  6. thanks very much. I have another question about one hospital bed, I don't have image about this bed. This bed has a handle installed in the middle and side of the bed, this handle is very special, I still remember that pushing up handle or pushing down the handle means to lower down the bed head or elevate the bed head. There is one danger here, if you push down the handle, the bed head will drop down dramatically, it is dangerous for patient on bed. So, should be very careful to operate this kind of bed. I can't remeber very clearly, do you have experiece with this kind of bed, how to operate accurately? Thanks.

  8. does anybody know it?
  9. From website http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/301298861/THR_MB104E_2_crank_manual_Hospital/showimage.html, there is one hospital bed explanation, THR-MB104E 2-crank manual Hospital Bed. I have one question as follows: there is not any brakes on the bed castors, how to immobilize the bed and don't let the bed move ? Of course, there is one "U" shape handle at the end of the bed, does putting up the "U" shape handle mean to let the bed move? and does putting down the "U" shape handle mean to immobilize the bed? Thanks.
