Ca Bon Temp Permit App
Hi guys! I need your assistance. I moved here in L.A. from NJ. I applied for a temporary license while waiting for the reciprocity. Thing is, it's been almost 5 weeks now and I still don't have my TL. I want to check for my app status online but I don't know where to go. I didn't see anything there that addresses my concern. Also, I called Ca Bon several times but I can't get through every time as it says they're experiencing high volume of calls and can't take my call. My friends got their TL's in just a span of two weeks.. what to do???

temp license/reciprocity application
i'm an RN here in New Jersey applying for a license in California. One of the requirements is fingerprinting. It says here to go to the local law enforcement agency. I called our local police as well as the state police but they keep on passing me around like a ball. Now, I'm waiting for the Detective Bureau to return my call since I left a message in their answering machine. Is there anybody here that could help me out please???

nursing home to hospital
Hi everyone! :) I'm new to this site and I am in need of your input/advise. I'm a graduate of BSN and an RN here in NJ. Got my license April of last year and had been working in a Nursing Home Sub-Acute Unit. I still have 2 more years with them since I'm under contract. Thing now is that I'm a new mom and I asked for a change in my days off since nobody can look after the baby when my husband goes to work. He has two jobs and gave up one already. Can't afford a sitter for now either but they won't grant my request stating they are having problems with staffing sched especially on the weekends. If I always call out in those 2 days that my husband has to work, worst case scenario is that they are gonna fire me out. It's not stated in my contract though that I have to give up my green card if and when my employment ends. I really don't know what to do..My insurance is with them but when push comes to shove, I can buy out the contract. I just need a fall back coz we are financially challenged with all honesty. We've been here in this country for 3 yearys barely and with no relatives to help us out. Now,I'm planning to apply in a hospital but I don't know yet which area I would choose.I have no experience other than that in a nursing home because I didn't practice nursing since I graduated from College year '96. Any suggestions? Help!!!
