I am hoping to join the Air Force Nurse Corps soon. My recruiter said the board is meeting in January 2011, so I've got a little while, but I've got a question. I've heard from many people that being an officer in the military is just a lot of politics. Can someone explain this to me please? I'm not against politics but I'm also not really interested too much in them. I just want to be a nurse, so I'd like to be prepared for the political side as well if need be. Also, I'm a new grad and would be going to NTP, and I was wondering if your family goes with you to NTP or do they have to wait til you go to your duty station? Thanks so much for any help.
