  1. How has the job hunt gone? I just finished my first day of orientation at my new job. I am a fresh new grad making monies in the high 50's. I am very happy to be employed right now!
  2. I actually just took this test this morning. Pretty much seems to be a kind of personality tester. I remember having to do some of these when I was in High school for jobs. Its basically scoring you on your personal traits and if it matches the employers minimums, you can a call.
  3. Nice I will check them out, especially since I live about 5 minutes away.
  4. Join the club I guess, I graduated June of last year and finished my Nclex and got my license last month. Applied for about 20 jobs and haven't even gotten a interview call yet.... Just wait everyone will call you in a month all at once. At least that's what Im hoping.
  5. I think I may just break down and even go to a long term care facility to work. Ive heard ALOT of horror stories, and my instructors even told me to stay away from there. I guess its at least a job and ill be able to put some kind of experience on my resume! What do you guys think? Hold out for a nice hospital job or grab the first opportunity that comes along and just keep looking for another job?
  6. Hey guys, have been lurking on here since I started nursing school two years ago. I Guess its finally time to say hello. Graduate from Triton, I passed my boards on 2/25/10 a week or so ago. Seems the job market around Chicago Sucks! Every posting I see online on either career builder or monster requires 1 year of experience. Its not that I am picky, god I will even work in cook county any day, time or shift, just not peds or OB. How are you guys managing in these tough economical times?
