  1. Thanks everyone! That helps.
  2. OK nurses and student nurses, When did you begin applying for Nursing positions? I will graduate in December and sit for boards in January. Is it too soon to begin applying for jobs?
  3. I was a year away from finishing my Social Work degree, when I had a 3 month premature baby. He spent two months in the NICU, and spending so much time there, and learning so much about caring for him, made up my mind that I wanted to get into Nursing. I was, however, close to finishing my degree and couldn't start over at that point in my life. I always said that I'd go back. Six years later, I got laid off due to the economy and cutbacks, and it opened the perfect opportunity for me to return to school. I start in January and I know it will be more than everything I imagined.
  4. thanks all! I'm so excited to get started.
  5. I've done EXTENSIVE research on stethoscopes, and it seems as though the concensus is that Littmann is the best, lol. I'll be attending Ivy Tech South Bend in Jan. Does anybody know if the color matters, do professors care?
