No Lunch Break
Im a nursing student and also a health nut. I really like to treat my body well by eating healthy meals every 4 hours or so. I have heard some stories about nurses going an entire shift with no lunch break. How common is this? Signed, The perpetual snacker http://images.allnurses.com/smilies/specs.gif

New Grad in Psych Nursing
I am a Nursing Student who would like to go in to psych nursing right after I graduate and pass the NCLEX. Does this sound reasonable. I will be graduating with an Associates degree in Nursing and would like to start working with adult psych patients right away. (I don't want an internship or to work for free --I have student loans to pay)http://icons.an-file.info/question.png

Living and working in Queensland
I would also like very much to do Nursing in Brisbane. It looks like such a beautiful modern city with an almost perfect climate. I am from the US. I hear that Nurses make a bit less there. I have 3 questions? 1 Is a nursing salary adequate to enjoy life in Brisbane and live near CBD. 2 Do most nurses work 8 10 or 12 hour shifts. 3 Are Male nurses still looked down upon. ( I heard they call male nurses (Mr. Sister) I'm not sure if thats derogatory or not.

Is it OK to not work for a few years after passing NCLEX?
Heres a question. Once I have Graduated and passed my NCLEX. I would like to take a few years off to work on a relationship http://images.allnurses.com/smilies/added/redbeatheart.gif and personal things. Would that be acceptable to not start working as a nurse until 2 or 3 years after taking my NCLEX?http://images.allnurses.com/smilies/xmas/starornament.png Thanks for all Advice.
