    Hi I am a second year nursing student from NIC. I am researching the topic of transcultural nursing. I think culturally appropriate nursing is an important aspect of nursing. Focusing on the cultural care beliefs, values, and lifestyles of people to help them maintain and/or regain their health, or to face death in meaningful ways. Understanding cultures and their specific care needs is important in nursing someone back to health. Providing culturally congruent care is the goal of transcultural nursing. Please respond with your thoughts, stories and comments, for i am doing a paper in school on transcultural nursing. Thanks
