LPN Letter of Recommendation. HELP!
The physician I work closely with is leaving our clinic soon, 7 days! We work in a very small practice where he had often seen me administer injections, draw blood, process blood and urine work and dress wounds. Even assisted with the removal of sutures several times. He has told me that if I write the letter of recommendation he will sign it, he doesn't write English very well. I really could use some help because, I sound like an idiot compared to what a physician would actually write! I've tried almost 10 times now and end up trashing it! Thank you guys so much, in a tight place here with him leaving so soon!

New L.P.N. Very disappointed!
What are some options for L.P.N. jobs that give you more freedom? I love taking care of people and being hands on, i really LOVE getting to know new people! Its exciting for me. However, I guess in my mind gaining an education was supposed to help me gain a higher paying job, and more freedom to havd time with my family. I'm making great money for a new L.P.N. but the hours are crazy ridiculous. Always changing due to staffing issues at my employer. Something else I have learned, you are either a great nurse or a crappy one, no inbetween! What are some other job options for me, that would allow me to keep making decent pay but spend more time with my family? Any Advice?

What was your first LPN job?l
I just graduated about three months or so ago in the state of Tennessee and took my boards as soon as I was approved. I honestly tried tostudy but in the end, nothing I covered was even on my exam -.-! However, I did pass on my first try, despite the fact I was very unsure when I left the testing center. I averaged about a 3.5 GPA during my training to give you an idea of statistics and such. In my opinion, which someone might disagree, is don’t overstudy or stress out! You’ll end up over doing it. Don’t allow yourself to study the DAY of the test, eat a balanced breakfast and get a full nights sleep the night before! If you didn’t learn it in training the chances are you’re not going to cram it in within just a day before the exam. Good luck! =) I landed my first job with a great non-profit organization working with emotionally disturbed female children. Sounds like a handful but it’s actually a wonderful job! Great benefits and my starting pay is 15/hr. I work 2-10 M-F and do some floating nurse work when needed. I think the cap-out pay with my company is $28 an hour.

*Shame* Understanding Freshmen/Senior Status- and Loans!
Okay, I've recently finished my first year of my school's RN program. *jumps for joy* But I ran out of personal funding along time ago =P I'm just now starting my journey to seek internship, and hopefully my own personal space (appartment time!) before my parents are the demise to my success. Which leads me to my first question. I feel so ashamed but I dont know how to tell if I'm a Junior or Senior in college, does it go by credit hours or how many years you have left until you're finished (like high school) I already recieve federal assistance (FASA) Pell-Grant from my school and it covers all the needs as far as books/uniforms/tuition. However, I've found the hard way that there aren't many living-assistance programs for my persuasion. I've been getting this FASA Aid for about a year now but they can't do much more. I'm driving almost 4 hour total just to make it to one class So it's like 7 hours a day just to go to one class =( I guess what I need is a loan. What are some TRUST worthy and student friendly loans TYPES without co-signers needed! I just dont understand the hoopla of loans this interest rates that. I want something I can have a grace period after I finish with also. =)
