  1. What about recommendations related to going straight from RN lisencing to FNP/NP programs or getting experience first? With any luck I'll be able to sit for the RN exam this spring/summer. There are several of us in my class that go back and forth between these to options and are all really unsure. Any advice/suggestions/experiences you wish to share would be very welcomed.
  2. Thank you. That confirms what I thought. So, if I understand correctly, when doing JVD assessment, if I see pulsation in what I am looking at, I am either seeing the carotid(s) OR there's a much bigger problem than JVD. Right?
  3. When assessing for JVD, how do I know that what I'm looking at are jugular veins and not carotid arteries? Similarly, when palpating for the carotid pulse, how do I know it is the c. arteries I am feeling and not jugular veins?
