Dear wmart, I've contacted their account manager directly from the info in the directory. She is a nice and reasonable person. She arranged a staff to help me. As my request letters were, in fact, received for a long time (although all of the customer service staffs said that none of my letters were received in the past four months!), I've received my money back yesterday. They work efficiently this time. Although some of my information was still sent out without my request, I, at least, get back a reasonable arrangement. In fact, the happiest thing for me is not the money, but is your help. I felt so upset and lonely before. I am glad that I get lots of helps and supports from this forum. Wmart, I would like to show my deepest appreciation to you. Thank you very much.

Here's some info I read from an ICU book: "In normal situatons the dependent lung receive more ventilation and more blood flow than the nondependent lung; however, during mechanical ventilation the dependent portion of the lung receives less distribution of tidal vol than do the nondependent areas" "IN unilateral lung disease, position pt with healthy lung down. In bilateral lung disease, position pt in right lateral decubitus position, inasmuch as the right lung has more surface area" I am not understand it well. Could you help me? Q1. "In normal situatons the dependent lung receive more ventilation and more blood flow than the nondependent lung" Why? As the dependent lung is being pressed, why it can get more ventilation? Q2. "during mechanical ventilation the dependent portion of the lung receives less distribution of tidal vol than do the nondependent areas" Is it because the diseased lung is being pressed? Q3. "In bilateral lung disease, position pt in right lateral decubitus position, inasmuch as the right lung has more surface area." How more surface area help? I feel confused on it. Could you help me? Thank you.
  3. Thank you very much for your detailed explanation!
  4. Does that 8-12 wks you mentioned is actually the orientation? Or it will be a formal ICU course? Will there be any requirement for selecting staffs to attend the ICU course? Does it related to seniority? Thanks.

Dear wmarat, Thank you so much!!! I can't believe that I've missed that directory. Thank you so much for your help, wholeheartedly. I can, at least, try to contact them now.
  7. Just for curious, so, they also have an nationalwise board for nursing exams just like NCLEX? Do you know any more information related to their licensure application procedure? Thanks.

You are right. I do strongly agree that contacting them is waste of time. However, I still have to "buy" their services like visa screen. It's frustrating. As they used my money on another service without my request, I have to make a refund. However again, nobody take care my request (even though it's their fault). They claim that refund will take ~30 days. But it does take me 5 months already. Even claim my letters is not received. They are lying! Therefore, I am trying to contact the higher level staff. So, do you know how they call the top management? Should it be CEO/ Dean/ President etc? I've tried to check through the http://www.cgfns.org. I cannot find out this information. Could you also tell me where is such information indicated in their web site? I want to make my letter to be received by the right person. Anyway, thank you for your help.
  9. Does anybody know the staffing structure of CGFNS/ know any source of it? I would like to find out the name and contact method of the higher level staff, like department manager, president, dean etc. Could you help me if you know anything about it? Thanks
  10. Hi, I still get a little bit confused between the difference of NP and nurse specialist. So, the main job of nurse specialists are providing nursing education and bedside nursing care? Do they need a license? Can they choose back to work as RN? Does all MSN (with whatever major specialized) can work as an nurse specialist? Do they recognized internationally like a RN? What can they do in other countries? How about the job market of nurse specialist? Sorry for so many questions and thank you for any replies.
  11. Hi, I am quite new in nursing. I think I get some wrong concept on nursing practitioner. Actually, what exactly it is? What will they do? Does NP need a license? Can NP choose back to work as a RN? Does all MSN (with whatever major specialized) can work as an NP? Does NP recognized internationally like a RN? What can they do in other countries? What's the difference of NP from Nurse Specialist? Sorry for so many questions and thank you for any replies.
  12. Well, just keep waiting. Although denied, preparing TSE for the visa screen with limited revision material. Anyway, thanks for your concern. You are so nice.
