  1. Thanks for the responses. I am a recent business graduate and my GPA is 3.0. I have no healthcare experience. I am currently a supervisor @ a hospital maybe I can volunteer to help out in anyway possible here. I will contact the college and ask them how I can strengthen my application.
  2. Hello all I received a letter from Baptist on 6/9/2010. I just knew that I had been accepted because I met the minimum requirements. I was really hurt when I opened the letter only to find out that I wasn't accepted. I am a recent business graduate and I have wanted to be a nurse for a long time. I am feeling really discouraged now. I want to apply again for the Spring, but I really don't think I can take another denied letter. Any suggestions welcomed.

I did take it over and I passed:yeah: I just went back to the basis as far as math. Fractions, percentages, decimals, place value, etc. I got a 67 on the math and a 83 on the reading. I increased in math by 20% and 20% in reading. You can take it twice so if you don't pass the first time (praying that you will) The test doesn't change and I know you will do better the second time. Are you enrolling for the fall? I need to recruit study buddies in advance:)

I recently took the HOBET entrance exam for Baptist College Health Sceinces. I passed the reading but flunked the math. I am going to take it over, but I guess I need some motivation or encouraging words.
  8. Thanks, Epona I know that I am up for a BIG challenge. I am praying in advance!!!!!!
  9. Well a lot of the nurses don't seem approachable. I always speak to people even if I don't know them it's just my up bringing and they just look and walk away.
  10. I know that it is going to be hard but I keep thinking about the saying easy come easy go. I'm willing to work hard to get what I want. You can do it to. We have to encourage and uplift one another. Keep me posted. Thanks!!!!!
  11. ] I really have already experienced being away from my kids while I was working on my other degree and working nights. Most of my classes I took online. It is very hard trying to juggle it all. It makes me want to scream most of the time. I am currently working at night and my two oldest kids are helping me with my youngest by keeping her at night. I have family members, but I sometimes feel like I'm in it by myself. I know that I am up for a real challenge. Heck I make $20.00 now, and I'm in a supervisor position. I will consider taking things slow because I don't want to fail. Thanks for all of your advice I really appreciate it. What is ADN please advise.
  12. Thanks a lot Sand_ Dollar I really appreciate the feed back. I really want to be sucessful in anything that I do. I applied to Baptist I have to take the HOBET exam hopefully I do good on that. I think this board is going to be very useful to me.

I have applied at Baptist College Of Health Sciences.I am now 34 years old and a single parent of 3. I really want to accomplish being a nurse. All encouraging advice welcomed please. I work @ a hospital St Jude, but I don't feel comfortable asking the nurses that I work with.
