  1. I will be clearer, you be less presumptuous...thanks, convo over...I don't do drama
  2. I was speaking of a documented disability FROM HIGH SCHOOL using a calculator!! I'm SO OVER arguing with you...move on
  3. Thank you for clarifying my thoughts (being very genuine) I do have a severe anxiety disorder, the only reason I thought about the calculator was to compensate for time, I know what the disorder dyscalculia means, I only paraphrased the definition to a very basic meaning because in that reply my intention wasn't necessairly regarding that, it was more about me being offending R/T the fact that I was basically being called a "cheater" however, the disorder is R/T the brain; ˈkyo͞olēə/nounPSYCHIATRY severe difficulty in making arithmetical calculations, as a result of brain disorder. I felt that I was being judged for even asking the question about getting accommodations for the use of a calculator, I just don't appreciate negativity or judgment being passed (not by you). I asked the question to get SUPPORT and information. I'm in no way trying to get an advantage above anyone else, and I resent the implication of such.
  4. Omg are you literally KIDDING ME?! Because I chose not to ANNOUNCE my particular diability (which I would think you would KNOW that I have a documented one considering I got accommodations for extra time and a quiet room) you people are the most JUGEMENTAL I have ever seen!!
  5. Ok, first of all, settle yourself down...no one is trying to cheat!! I DO have documented disabilities, just NOT with a brain disorder involving a calculator!!! Do NOT pass any judgement on me whatsoever!! Did you ASK me if I had documented disabilities?! THE ANSWER IS NO YOU DIDNT!! So please calm yourself down
  6. To whom ever sent me a PM, it won't let me view it due to the fact that I haven't been active on the site for awhile.
  7. Thank you!! all encouragement is greatly appreciated, a few prayers wouldn't hurt either
  8. Oh ok, I wasn't sure, one person told me that they were only allowed ONE sheet of 8X10 paper and I just couldn't believe that!!
  9. It seems as though you have "beat yourself up" enough and you're aware that you made a mistake, at this point I personally would just move on and not say anything about it. You went and checked on your patient after you "lied" so technically you covered your butt. While I don't condone lying I would just say it was more erroneous than a lie since you panicked and you say that lying is out of your character. If I were you I wouldn't jeopardize your schooling, relationship with this instructor, or your chances for success in completing the program. Just chalk it up to a bad judgement call and don't repeat it.
  10. I don't have dyscalculia, my GPA is 3.9, I only wanted a calculator to make sure I answered all the questions in time, hopefully I will be granted extra time which will solve my main problem, thank you for explaining it to me. My other question is.....is there a limit to the amount of scratch paper you're permitted to have?
  11. No I never had any problems in high school, it all started in college with "timed tests" I needed extra time...which I would be granted, but then I wouldn't end up needing to use it. I'm sure it's a mental thing but I just want every chance for success with this test.
  12. I am scheduled to take my PAX on April 20th, Does anyone know how I can get special accommodations to be able to use a calculator on the PAX/RN exam? I already have accommodations for a longer time as well as being put in a quiet room, but I need a calculator as well....any advice? Has anyone ever been permitted to use one and if so how did you go about it? Thanks in advance
