Conversion of Philippine BSN to US BSN
Yeah, at least a year. But I want to have a peace of mind with my BSN already, because I dont like being underestimated by employers. Also, it has been an issue to me when I was looking for a job. Currently, I'm accumulating 1 750 hours on the critical care (if I'm not wrong) for me to be eligible for examination for the CCRN. And then on that, I think it would really help me to get in to CRNA.

That's awesome! How did you contact the NCC NY? Is that Nassau Community Collge, NY? I want to hear from you since you've done it already. As of now, I'm getting my experience in critical care, because I need to accumulate a certain amount of hours to be accepted to the aforementioned program. But, I want to have a peace of mind with my BSN already, so if mandated to take certain classes, I can do it by now since I only work 3 days per week.

Is AERC a recognized credential evaluator here in US? Have you done this process in that organization? BTW, thanks for your response. I'm now working in one of the Regional Medical Centers in Central CA, I was just recently hired actually. I started working in Indiana State, but the salary was too cheap so I moved to California because my aunt is a Director of Nurses in one of the nursing homes in Santa Barbara. It's a very nice and sophisticated place. However, longterm care is not my passion, so I look for New Grad or RN Residency Program from LA to Fresno. I applied to the versant program of Northridge, USC Univ Hosp; also, I tried to get in to UCLA MC, LAC USC, Huntington's, but the process is too sluggish and so I went further to Southern CA to Central. And I was lucky to this Regional Med Center. It's really hard to get in to big hospitals in LA, and because I'm a foreign grad. I was not accepted to any of the versant program due to the same reason and that the program is deviced for US grad or so I was told. I feel bad about it and it flagged my self esteem. But, God is too good to doubt.

Do you know where to go to have my Transcript of Record be submitted and evaluated? I'm kind of frustrated with this issue because I'm planning to get in to CRNA program, but because of my educational status, it may prevent me from being accepted to the program.

Conversion of Philippine BSN to US BSN
Hi, I'm a Philippine BSN graduate, FEU batch 2008 and currently working as an ER-RN here in California. I am planning to advance my career; however, since I'm a Philippine BSN graduate, I want to know how to convert it into US BSN and what are the steps that should be taken. If anyone have done the process, I'd be very grateful if you could help me with this dilemma.
