Yeah, I went up to the Marietta campus Monday, and they told me that the sticker is actually for SPSU, not GHC, but they give it to the Marietta GHC students too. They told me it is only good for the SPSU campus, but it covers the GHC students that go there too. From my understanding, we don't actually need anything specifically for the Wellstar campus. I went up to the Rome campus a couple of weeks ago, and they gave me a GHC parking sticker, but they told me it was only good for that campus. Lol, so basically everything has become convoluted, and I'm not really sure what's right. I did get the nursing badge while I was at the Marietta campus, and if anybody's wondering, it's $6, and you get it at the business office on the 2nd floor of the Norton building.

Hey guys, Has anybody at the Marietta campus gone to get their nursing badges yet, or your parking pass? Where do we go, on the campus, to get them?

I am sure we will have plenty of time to get better acquainted this semester, especially since our class is small. Looking forward to seeing everybody next week. :)

I ordered all of mine from alibris.com and half.com, and am still waiting for them to get here.

nursenicolea, Let's just say I had some extra free time this semester. All I had to take was Micro, and I hate to waste time, so I started on BSN pre-reqs, lol. I took Statistics and English Comp II this semester, and I want to take one thing this summer online along with the bridge. The things that I still need to take are Sociology, Organic Chem, World History, or a Literature course, but I don't want to take anything too hard over the summer. I just want to keep plugging along, and I figured since they put on the nursing website that you can take something else at the same time that it must be do-able (I hope).

Is anyone taking another class this summer along with NURS 1103? I am considering taking American Lit. this summer. I can't remember where, but somewhere on their website, there was something that said that you could take one other class at the same time, but just during summer session.

I'm down. I went ahead and ordered a few dosage calculations books a couple of weeks ago, so I could go ahead and start brushing up for the drug calc. test that we're supposed to have right off the bat.

Nope, haven't heard anything yet. I think I'm just gonna sit on my hands and try not to call and ask about it, so I don't drive myself crazy. I am assuming it will be sometime in the next 2 weeks. I'm just trying to stay mellow, but that's easier said than done. :)

Well, I may as well introduce myself since there are a few of us now. My name is Claire, I am 27, I live in Sandy Springs (north side of Atlanta). I am married, and my husband is a nurse too. I work in long term care, with dementia patients at a skilled nursing facillity, but hopefully only until we graduate :). I am so excited and anxious to get this journey started! I am taking Microbiology, Statistics, and English Comp. II this semester, and I am so ready to be done. Do any of you work for Wellstar?

Mine says the LPN bridge to Nursing and Marietta campus. However, I believe those are both things I put on my original app to the school.

Hey, I was told by the program assistant that it will be around a month from March 1st, maybe a little longer. She said the paramedic bridge program starts a month earlier, but they send out the letters to both groups at the same time. I am just going to guess that it will end up being somewhere around mid-April :)

So, do you only have class on Mondays for the whole program? How many days/week are clinicals? I too live in Atlanta, so I am hoping not to have to drive to Rome! I heard that for the Marietta campus, they take students that are employees for Wellstar first. Did you write on your app that that was your first preference? Congrats on your impending graduation, I know you must be very excited! Thanks so much for your help :)

prettymica, How much of the bridge is an online program?

Lynda, I believe it is. I had a friend that worked at Floyd, and she said it was close to GHC's campus. I have never been to the campus in Rome, and I am hoping to go to the Marietta campus.
