  1. Yea the test has ALOT of delegation and prioritization...I studied for about 2-4 hours on the weekdays. I gave myself a break on the weekends. The Saunder's review book comes with a CDROM that has NCLEX style questions on it. There is an assessment quiz that gives you a "print out" study guide on what chapters to read from the book (2 chapters a day). If you go by the Saunder's study guide, it takes about 6 weeks to finish. Reading 2 chapters everyday and doing the questions at the end is good. If you dont have enough time to do the 6 weeks do 200 questions a day with the rationals
  2. Focus on DELEGATION/PRIORITIZATION, SAFETY ENVIRONMENT, INFECTION CONTROL, DISEASE TRANSMISSION, PRECAUTIONS, MAJOR DRUG CLASSIFICATIONS AND SIDE EFFECTS and calculations & conversions
  3. I just passed mine on the first try...I was out of school for 2 years!!! Buy the Saunder's review book, do the questions and rationals!!! It helped alot!! Relax and don't stress yourself out...if you want more tips email me
  4. Actually...i live in ny my teachers told me they will be making the schooling harder and it will no longer be a "trade school course" (like it is here in ny) it will be 2 year course (associates degree)
  5. So I graduated PN school here in New York in 2007 when I turned 19. I was told to take my NCLEX asap because everything stays fresh in your mind. I didn't, I put it off. I had a good job so I thought "I'll take it soon"...2 months turned to 6...6 months turned to a year...and so on. In the beginning of this year (2009) I decided I wanted to take it...then I started reading all the horror stories online and I became scared. I took a refresher course in July and thought OMG I forgot about all this stuff I don't know anything!!!(more scared) In September I bought the Saunders review book...been studying ever since. I took the test 2 days ago, it shut off at 85 questions I THOUGHT I DEFINITELY FAILED. I paid the $7.95 for the quick results today and...I PASSED...I could not believe it...I passed on my FIRST TRY being out of school for 2 years!!! If I did it, anyone can!!! I really hope this helps, a post like this would've helped me. Please e-mail me if you need any tips
