The shift is for weekends only, from 3-11:30p. If they say no then I'll probably just move on unless they have another shift available.

I just recieved and offer but the job is an evening weekend shift at a SNF. When I asked about a weekend shift premium,& they said . It does however have a evening shift premium but thats it. Any job I've ever had has incorporated a weekend premium. Do most of your guys get Weekend shift premiums? Should I negotiate or keep looking? especially since they really need someone asap.

Omg, the same happened to me recently. It kind of took me off guard. I've come to the conclusion they are in desperate need of a nurse. Also its good to google and check resourses patients use like medicare nursing home companion (if your looking for a facility job) and see what issues you may face in the future, if you decide to take the job.

the program is good so far, being the first class of course things arent going to go 100%. But I have to say that they have a pretty good start. The Director has laid a good foundation. you need English comp 1&2, 2 Algerbra classes, A& P 1& 2 (Some schools make you take Biology first, if so see if they let you test out to skip it) I think thats it.So get busy,take Half Summer & rest fall ( make sure yu get your grade before enrollment). Give yourself enough time, just incase the class is full, or you fail, (god forbid) & have to retake a course. Trust me they wont let you in until they have everything, I have seen people in tears. But the next class will enroll jan. 2012.

I have her now, she's tough but fair. I ended first 2 with A's, so no complaining here.
