  1. Texcat, Thank you, I am still in a little bit of shock! Lovetexas and Idreamofnursing, I'm sending positive thoughts and mojo y'alls way! UTher, CONGRATS! Ladykee, thank you for the immunization info! I think most of us are in the same boat as far as taking classes this semester. I'm taking 2 classes at Lone Star and the schedule is about the same, so hopefully it won't be an issue. I'm trying to keep up with everyone on here...I can't join the Facebook group yet, I have some Facebook friends from work and they aren't aware of my plans just yet...
  2. Hi Y'all! A big congrats to everyone who has been accepted and for those who haven't been updated yet, it will happen! You've got this! Thank you to everyone that has posted...I refused to start stalking UT link until the 15th, so if it hadn't been for y'all I wouldn't have found out I was accepted today! I am so excited to meet everyone and get started on this hectic journey together! I will be joining the FB group tonight! Now I will be wearing out the hinges on my mailbox looking for my packet!
  3. Hi texcat, glad to hear they are doing a transcript eval for you. It really helped me. I assumed they would accept my statistics for animal science majors, and they were not going to at first, so I had to provide some additional info on the course and they did accept it. Art appreciation does count. I had to take an arts credit as well (it wasn't part of core curriculum back when I graduated A&M :-)), and art appreciation was one of the classes the advisor listed for me. I just took American Music in the mini-mester. bach09, I am not positive, but I'm thinking this is the last week of interviews because all of our names on Tuesday were at the end of the alphabet, other than those that had been rescheduled from a previous date. Happy waiting everyone!!
  4. Insane in the membrane, lol...that's a good way to describe it! Yes, I am taking ethics and nutrition this semester. Visiting with several people before and during our interview, it sounded like alot of people are still finishing up, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. An advisor told me that as long as the courses were completed by the start date, I would be fine. GOOD LUCK to you too!
  5. texcat, that definitely sounds like a good sign! I know exactly who you are...great to talk to you on here! I was wearing a black pinstriped suit as well, blonde hair pulled back in a pony tail (not sure if it's still considered "long", used to be alot longer, lol).
  6. texcat, what were you wearing yesterday? It's always nice to put a face with a name and I wonder if I talked to you. :) ladykee96, yes, I was asked if I had taken any A&P more than once and where I had taken it. I don't see how an A could hurt your chances, regardless of where you took the course. We all know that even different professors at the same school can be more or less challenging!
  7. Well, I survived the interview and like bach09, thought it was a relatively simple. Not as grueling as I had imagined. I left feeling pretty confident and the faculty who interviewed me was awesome. I thought I would feel so relieved after the interview, but the agony of waiting has already set in lol. They told us that they are interviewing 200 candidates for 60 openings. I also read on another thread that our status will probably be updated in utlink before we recieve a letter, so I'll be checking that frequently! Good luck to everyone and please post as soon as you hear something!!
  8. bach09, Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us! I interview tomorrow and am so incredibly nervous and excited! I don't remember ever being this nervous for any interview. I don't think I will do much sleeping tonight! GOOD LUCK to everyone who interviews this week!
  9. Hi fizzlepop: I took 2 courses in the fall, have 3 courses to complete in the spring semester, and am interviewing the 19th. As long as they received all of the other requirements along with your application, you should be fine. I hope your interview invite arrives anyday! My stats are: Nursing GPA:3.607 Science GPA: 3.75 NET math: 100 NET reading: 82 Good luck to everyone who interviews tomorrow!!!
  10. A big congrats to all who have received their interview letters...I was ecstatic to receive mine yesterday! My interview is the 19th!
  11. Hi, I have also applied for Summer 2010 and was glad to find you! UT has everything they need from me, now it is just the waiting game! Has anyone heard if they take the NET science score into consideration for admission and if so, how important is it? I was satisfied with my math and reading scores, but disappointed in science. I should have brushed up on A&P. Thanks!
