Hello everyone, I'm currently enrolled in a Community College located in NYC and majoring in Nursing. Our Nursing program is highly competitive when it comes to admittance into the clinical phase of Nursing, as they evaluate the students GPA (minimum 3.0) from the pre-clinicals which include :English I,Sociology,Psychology, and A&P I ,as well as the Pre entrance exam ,which im eligible to take after i have finished those four classes. I'm still a freshman and the only classes that i am taking right now are: English I and Sociology. The English class is fairly easy and my professor told me that i will probably get an A for the semester , but... here's whats driving me insane. I am nowhere near acing my sociology class, so far i had to write 2 research papers from a total of 4 . One has received a 7.5 out of 10 while the other only a 7/10. I don't know why but i never seem to deliver what my professor is looking for in his assigned research papers:uhoh3: It's driving me nuts, i really want to do well and get at least a B but if i continue I'll probably end up with a C to C+... I hope ill do better next semester with Psychology and A&P I but i heard it's very tough material... and supposedly when its time to Pick students for the Clinical phase , eligible students are being chosen from 4.0 GPA (RN-PAX exam scores )down... until about 200 or so eligible students. I dont know what i should do... i really feel like i don't have the smarts to being a nurse in a competitive program with with about 1000'ish+ Pre-clinical nursing students.
