With me they did, but the bathroom was huge with lots of stalls. I think they are mainly standing there for that reason and to make sure you dont flush. If there were only one stall I doubt that the lab tech would have stood right there because it would be obvious if it were me flushing. Plus they check the temp and let you label everything right then. They are big on making sure both your eyes remain on the specimen until its put in the box and ready to be shipped to lab. You'll be fine!!!

No. They will squirt some blue dye in the toilet and stand outside the stall while you collect the specimen.

Hello all! Just wanted to know of other peoples experience with micro at SU. The teacher I will end up taking this semester has a very bad rep for having the highest fail and drop rate. A student in my nursing class who makes all A's even failed his class. I'm so nervous to take this class because if I fail, I have to drop the nursing program as it is a corequisite that must be completed by the end of summer. This teacher has 40 something comments on ratemyprofessor.com and only 2 were positive and even they said it was hard. If anyone has taken micro at SU, please comment. Also, please let me know if you still have notes or study guides from the class. I've purchased a book call microbiology the easy way and have been reading through it. Hope it helps!

Hi all! I live in Alabama and was thinking about applying for the WIA grant. Does anyone know exactly how this process works? I'm receiving PELL so will they pay the rest and give you a check for whats left? Im about to enter my second semester of the LPN-RN bridge program and will be leaving my job this month since I will be in school 4 days a week. My job put a freeze on the scholarships and denied me leave without pay which I wanted just so I could keep my insurance since Im having a baby in July! If anyone has received this grant please give me more info. THANKS:)

Okay so I completed my pre employment physical for the VA on the 17th of this month. Anyone know how long it should take to hear something back. I talked to the health occupations dept. and they said my physical did clear. Im starting to get nervous. Everyone at the VA hospital where I did my physical were saying how lucky I was to work for the VA, congrats, and welcome so I thought I was in, yet I was told not to quit my job by the health occupations manager who also shook my hand and welcomed me to the VA hospital?!? Im confused. Anyone been through this process and didnt get hired? Also the nurse recruiter mentioned going before a board. Anyone know what this process consists of? Thanks a lot

I have a physical coming up for the VA hospital. From the way the gentleman who scheduled me spoke, it will be a very long day. Does anyone know what the physical consists of. He also mentioned blood work. I can stick others but hate being stuck. What kind of blood tests are they going to do? It also made me nervous because he says not to quit my job until after i complete the physical. Not that I was going to leave one job without another anyway. Any details about the government VA hospital pre employment physical would be greatly appreciated. Thanks;)
