NeeCeeRN- you said you applied to respiratory?? After I got my rejection letter I met with my adviser to see what my options were and she said they were still accepting for the respiratory in the spring so I applied for that, I am taking the entrance test on dec. 5th, have you taken it yet or heard anything about acceptance for that program?

GPA is 2.9 TEAS was 78, not too great I'm thinking i'm going to need to retake my a&p, I got a C in both one and two, a B in bio and my chemistry classes though. I think my a&p is holding me back..

bleh didn't get in again I'm going to look into the respiratory, do you mind me asking what you got in your science classes hallpaula?

Hey! I'm waiting as well! I applied for Fall 2011 and didn't get in so reapplied for Spring 2012 and crossing my fingers. I've heard anywhere from mid October to November for finding something out. Hoping for as soon as possible though!! If I find anything out though I'll let you know!

Well at least that means you will have a shot at the BSN as well as ASN, I thought about waiting as well, but I'm thinking ASN in the spring is the best option for me right now. I take the TEAS again today. Have you heard anything about the amount of people that have applied so far for spring?

You have to retake it every time you apply.

So I talked to my adviser yesterday morning and she gave me some uplifting news. I asked her what I could do to improve my chances on getting in and if she could tell me where I fell on the spectrum of getting in, was I waaay on the bottom or was I close to the cut off?? She told me in my folder they had not written down my "score" for the BSN but for the ASN I was only two points away from getting in. And she felt I had a good shot for spring and was very encouraging and told me not to give up. She told me to do my best to bring up my TEAS score which this past time was a 77 and that she thought that would help. So fingers crossed and having some faith restored i'm going to study like crazy to get that score up as well as apply to as many school as I can that start in the spring!! So for everyone who didn't get in meeting with your advisers is definitely a huge help and hopefully we can all be together this spring!! :yelclap:

I'm so sorry Sharye!! But don't give up hope! We can reapply in the spring! And meet with your adviser and see if she can give any insight and I will let you guys know what mine says!

I'm so sorry dkwmom to hear you didn't get accepted! I know the frustration!! But its okay we can just reapply together in the spring!! Hope you did well on your finals! My Chemistry final went really well and now I am ready to RELAX!

Thank you so much for all of your support! It is really helping me keep my head up! I'm just going to keep doing whatever it is I have to do to get where I want to be even if that means it takes me a little longer than I would prefer.

I'm pretty sure it was just a mass generated letter because it said to just keep working on pre-reqs and get as high a gpa as possible and reapply. Which for me doesn't make sense because I already have all the ASN pre-reqs completed, I'm thinking my gpa just is not high enough, my A&P grades are killing me. Thank you so much for the encouragement. As hard as it is i'm going to make an appointment with my adviser and see what I can do to improve my chances. I'm going to reapply for spring and also apply to some other schools that start in the spring to hopefully heighten my chances. In the meantime I have a Chem 1152 final tomorrow I should focus on.. I kinda wish this letter had come tomorrow..

Still nothing today.. I am definitely getting to know my mail lady though. Hc123, did you ever get a BSN rejection letter? Because I heard that the BSN alternates were all automatically accepted into the ASN program and I am wondering if you were a BSN alternate and that is why you have received a letter already.. Because even if it was bad new (which I pray it isn't) I would think I would have gotten a letter within a day or two of the acceptance letters.. Was your letter specific about anything or mention anything like this?
