  1. yes, they endorsed it. however i have to enroll in their monitoring program because I did not finish the program in my original home state ( I happened to relocate while being a participant in the program). I think if you finish a program somewhere it would be ridiculous and unfair that someone would have to start a program from start in the state that they are trying to get their license endorsed to. But i'm not sure how it works. I did not pose that question to the board because again I didn't get to complete my program in my home state so it is only fair that I of course continue it where I relocated. sorry if this was not any help..
  2. ramp is recovery and monitoring program. This is new jerseys board of nursing approved monitoring program.
  3. when you are in ramp. does this stipulation appear in your license or online. for example i had a private letter agreement with the nj board to enroll in ramp. while in ramp i moved to tx. in nj it did not appear in the license but here in tx it does appear as a "stipulation". I hope this is ok to ask here. does anyone know why???
  4. thanks. sorry, i didn't realize that I was indeed asking for medical advice. I read somewhere on one of the threads that tpapn takes sub cases on a one to one basis. but i don't think that this is correct info. anyway. I have been tapering down on suboxone because i want to work and because I want to be done already with pills. I don't want to be dependent on them ever again. I started a monitoring program in my home state and did 1 1/2years. Then i relocated here because of family. I'm hoping I get credit for that time. I have been clean/sober (except from sub) for 2 years and 7 months. do you think tpapn will give me credit for that time? I hope this is ok to ask here
  5. i'm sorry but waht is ayurvedic medicine?? by the way thanks for the reply. i will talk to my md about the herbals. do you know which ones have been successful? i know there are alot of imitators (companies making meds that don't work as well). thank you again. please let me know of anything else that I can do if you find out more. i really appreciate the help.
  6. in response to mag. yes i know because i read that in my order (about having to stay in tx for the remainder of the program) but in nj i guess it was not a restriction. in nj i did not get an order like they do in tx. what I got was a letter titled "private agreement". and it did not have all that legal termilogy that tx has. also they did not tell me they would disclose to the public. here in tx they do. trust me it was hard to get my endorsement (timewise and documents). but it was done. I know it will work here for me even though it might be harder here than in my home state because I know have the almighty, magnificient, loyal and awesome father (jesus christ) by and on my side. AND NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST ME WILL PROSPER because of him. thanks
  7. yes, it is possible. i just got a texas license by endorement after completing 1 and 1/2 years of a recovery program in my home state. however, t took texas 1 year and 3 months before they endorsed my license. i regret coming here. the laws are different from my state. in my orig state i had a private agreement--meaning the stip was not advertised on your license or online. but the rest was the same. and yes i was obligated to inform my employer in my orig state. good luck
  8. I want to get off this maintenance dose of suboxone. My doctor seems to think that I shoul stay on it for longer. I wish I would've never listened to my doctor about continuing it for so long. 2 years already. I have been tapering myself off of it. This medicine has created problems for me. I want to work and I don't think tpapn will allow me to do this while on sub. My family doesn't understand the med. It has helped me also. I don't high off of it or anything it just helps me feel "normal". whatever normal is. anyone on this med will understand what I'm saying. I tried to educate my family about sub but they just don't want to bother listening. has anyone ever been sucessful on geting off this med completely?? How hard was it. I have been free form any other meds for almost 3 years. Any advice. What should I do????. Also I have a job offer in houston for $29/ hr. I have9 years exp. in er/ crit care. Should we accept any offers even if it is unfairly low rate just because we are on tpapn??? Do employers try to offer tpapn nurses a lower pay rate than what they would pay a nurse not on tpapn. any advice is appreciated. If I am successful at getting off sub, how long does it show up in a urine test for sub. Does tpapn test your urine or sub???
  9. Im have to enroll in tpapn and have been on maitenance dose of suboxone. Im trying to taper off to get off of it completely. what do i tell tpapn. i need to work soon. been out of work for over 1 year because i relocated to houston. I'm afraid they won't let me work right away. i was working in my previous state while under a recovery program and under subooxone because they allowed it. is it really difficult to get off suboxone. and how long does it show up in a urine test for sub after you get off of it? also does anyone know what the hourly rate is here in houston now in 2009. they offered me a job for $28 an hour by a dialysis clinic. i have 9 years expr in er and was making much more than that in my previous state. is this a fair rate??? any help would greatly be appreciated.
