  1. That is usually the base pay for new grads at Sentara Hospitals.
  2. I start Monday at Norfolk General Hospital. I was advised to network. If you know instructors or anyone that works for any hospitals please ask them if you can use them as a reference. Some hospitals are not posting any new grad position. You need to network and be persistent. That means calling more frequent and writing letters to nearby hospitals about your interest to work in there hospital. You may have to go in person to inquire. I hope this was helpful. I asked my nursing instructor for a reference and she works for Sentara.

  5. yes in some instances they will use there own graduates
  6. Good luck to you, I am in the state of virginia, hampton roads and also graduated in december of 2009 and passed my boards in december and still have not had one interview.
  7. I am also a new grad and work at Chesapeake Regional Hospital as a CNA and can't find a job as a New Grad RN. The hospital i'm in is also not hiring new grads right now. So what do you do when you passed your boards and can't find a new grad RN position. I'm in the state of virginia, hampton roads. Please help.
