  1. If so it's good news since in couple years hopefully I'll be in your shoes
  2. Not only that. You will also need VisaScreen Certificate and you'll need to prove that your TN status is not a substitute for permanent residency. Now imagine how can you do this if the only your profession is US RN?
  3. I might be wrong once again, but Schedule A has nothing to with retrogression and visas. It only allows to skip getting a labor certification. Yes, before visas were specifically allocated to Schedule A specialties, and it's not the case now, but that doesn't mean, that the Schedule A doesn't exist anymore.
  4. I might be wrong, but I've never heard that the Schedule has been canceled. What makes you think that it's not active?
  5. No need to prove that for an employer since nurses are in the schedule A.
  6. You can get a TN-visa providing that you're a RN in Canada too.
  7. Can someone confirm that there is no need to send official transcripts from the nursing school if the Board receives CGFNS official transcripts? I tried to contact the Board twice with this regard, but they keep silent. The instruction states: The Board does not require applicants to pass the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS) examination in order to be licensed in California. Although, if you have been evaluated by CGFNS, the Board will accept official copies of your nursing transcripts (including the clinical portion of your training) from this organization.
  8. Wouldn't a master degree in nursing give her an opportunity to be qualified for EB2 category? As far as I know, it's way easier to get a green card via EB2. Please correct me I'm wrong. That's what I actually want to do - to gradate from the MSN program and obtain the green card through EB2.
  9. Thank you, Daigorot and Silverdragon102, for your willingness to help. I contacted CGFNS and asked them to accept a hard copy of the results. Instead, the CGFNS representative replied that I might email them my TRF#, and they would update my profile. I did that, and within an hour, I noticed this in my profile: IELTSAug 09 2008 xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 7.5 PASSEDPASSED I'm so happy!
  10. Thank you for the answer. The problem is that I took IELTS in Aug 2008 and didn't indicate the CGFNS as a recipient. However, I did ask the British Council to send a hard copy to the CGFNS. Does it mean that by requesting the BC to send a copy to the CGFNS, I'm authorizing the CGFNS to view the results?
  11. You're correct. The results go straight from the British Council to the CGFNS. But the question is how all this works in particular. What do we have to do? The key word is "electronically." It's not that we simply indicate the CGFNS as a recipient - they don't accept hard copies.
  12. What CGFNS email do we use for IELTS results to be sent electronically to the CGFNS? I'm talking about Applications to Recognising Organisations - the part of the IELTS application we fill in when we take the exam. Unfortunately, that's the only way CGFNS accepts the English proficiency test results. Thank you.
  13. I paid for the Visa Screen, however, the results of the IELTS didn't appear in my profile. I asked the British council to send a hard copy of the test report form. Lets see if that helps.
  14. I'm sorry... it's just an emotion.. Here's my full post, it's on the first page of this topic: ''I passed IELTS before Visa Screen too. British Council is happy to send a hard copy to CGFNS, however, here's how CGFNS wants the results to be sent: "If registering for IELTS please be sure to request that your test scores be made available to CGFNS electronically." "On your application for the IELTS exam, indicate that you want your test scores made available to CGFNS/ICHP, electronically. " "You may submit your CGFNS/ICHP VisaScreen® Application to ICHP before or after registering for the English language proficiency examinations. However, all applicants must ask either ETS or IELTS, Inc., to send their English language test scores electronically to CGFNS/ICHP. " The problem is that British Council doesn't send the results electronically. I added the date, the registration number and the type of the exam on the page Test information on CGFNS site almost a year ago, after I passed the exam, but the results haven't appeared yet. So how it's supposed to work? Am I doing something wrong?''
  15. Hello, hello.. Took the exam, but no results on the page yet. Do I have to start to panic? Do they appear on the page before I order the VisaScreen or only when I paid for the service in full? Please, please, please, anyone who knows please answer me.
