  1. When I spoke to the HRSA people it seemed to me that they really don't have any information about whether we were awarded it or not-they can just view if our app is complete, but maybe that is what they are supposed to say or something.
  2. Ha-that's exactly what I was thinking about grad school-seems like the more debt the better.
  3. Elizabells-Have you heard anything? And Kmoore-what type of hospital do you work at? Just trying to understand this whole thing...
  4. Katie-Congrats! You must be so excited! What number did you call to find out that information? And was there a specific person that you spoke to?
  5. FYI i've gotten incorrect information from that general HRSA number in the past-i actually called before and they told me it wasn't based on how much you owe it was totally a random draw (which is totally opposite what the NELRP people say). Not being able to get correct info is SO frustrating..!
  6. They just told me that they were way behind and that they were sending out award letters until October!
  7. Lostsoulfly-What number did you call?! That is totally not the info I just got at the general HRSA call center...!
  8. Kate-That makes me feel a little better, but I'm still freaked. I'm going to try to call again tomorrow as well, and if anyone one else hears anything or finds out any information let us know. It doesn't make any sense for us not to get it which is what is so frustrating!
  9. Nothing here-I am beyond stressed out..
  10. Yeah, I noticed that too-but I asked someone at HRSA that same question and she said that it doesn't matter what state you are from, there is no limit of award recipients for each state, the awards are only based on your funding preference and your income/loan ratio...you're right though, who knows:)...
  11. They recieved my app. as well, I called to make sure. My ratio is 208%, so I can't really imagine that we wouldn't get it-and if we don't I really don't understand why. It does make me feel better that not everyone who got a letter last year got a phone call first. Did anyone on this thread not recieve an award last year that had a higher ratio than people who did recieve it?
  12. Katie-I hear you, I am ridiculously nervous about this too. I didn't recieve a call, but I'm trying to stay positive because everyone who has been awarded it so far on this thread has a lower loan/income ratio than I do (and you do I think) by a lot. If they award it exactly how they say they do than you have nothing to worry about, so I'm trying not to stress too much but it is def. super hard. I keep thinking that maybe the factors they say they go by (DSH first funding and highest need) aren't the only factors that are really at play, but that seems crazy.
  13. nothing here...anyone else hear?
  14. Nothing in RI...
  15. I've got nothing either...This is so stressing me out. I feel like if we have a higher loan/income ratio than people who have already been awarded it then we should have nothing to worry about, (since the gov. claims to award only people with the highest ratio) but i'm still SO worried!
