I wasn't sure...now I know, yaay! :) So I guess i'll wait until I finish my first semester of clinicals instead of spending $ on the CNA course (but if some workplaces i'm interested in only hire as CNA after a year of clinicals versus 1 semester, then I might consider taking a CNA course).   2. Hi everyone, I'm currently a pre-clinical student at BMCC. I read somewhere in an old thread on this site that after 1st semester of clinicals, you can be eligible to become a CNA? Is that true in NY state? I was considering taking a CNA course this fall to get more related work experience, but don't want to spend such $ on a course if i'll be done with Nur 112 (Fundamentals of Nursing) Spring 2010...and if somehow i'd be eligible to sit for a CNA exam? Does anyone have any info on this? Thanks so much for any help!
