  1. Thanks--just knowing others havw had this same experience helps...
  2. Thank you for your thoughts! It's likely I don't breathe...It's what you advise for physical pain, and probably just as useful for painful clinical experiences. Thanks for the encouragement.
  3. I have a degree in Journalism, and am now in nursing school. Credits accepted for transfer were Psych, Soc, Speech, English Comp.--maybe a few others. Do you have many Science credits already? I didn't. Unfortunately, most of the BA credits cannot be applied to the BS degree. However, I have heard that having a previously earned BA does become relevant at some point, as it demonstrates that you have taken higher level courses requiring critical thinking, and that the critical thinking competent is what the BS provides. Good Luck!
  4. Well, I am laughing now, because I feel the EXACT same way. Misery loves company. I was not able to get it together, I have to repeat a clinical, but you know what? It 's going to give me that practice that everyone recommends. I do know that I love caring for my patients, and so often they have thanked me for the care I've provided. Some things can't be taught. We CAN learn this skills stuff. Children who walk early don't walk better, right? We'll get there. I'll pray for you.
  5. I am so glad to have come upon your post. I am a midlife student, also. I have spent the last 20+ years raising a family. I have volunteered a lot, and been asked to serve in leadership roles many times. I am seen as capable, intelligent and mature. Yet, in the clinical setting, with my instructor present, I am a complete mess. It's so disheartening. Sounds as if you are passing everything, so you must be doing OK. I feel your pain.
