Finally Passed NCLEX on 4th time.
Hello Kat, Congratulations on passing your exam. I'm currently in the same situation you were in a couple months back. I'm writing because I am looking for inspiration and advice on how to attack this exam. I'm losing more and more motivation to study as days go by. I try to stay positive and keep pushing forward but I can only do so much to keep the mindset. I am also wondering how long did you wait in between each exam? Should I schedule my exam asap? When will I know if I'm prepared to take this exam? you can contact me here or at my email - [email protected] Thank you for your time.

Failed NCLEX 3X
Thanks for the input adammRN. Yeah they recently tweaked the NCLEX earlier this year so I'm pretty sure that is one of the factors but it's still no excuse for me not to be able to pass. I have the content all in my head. I understand how to analyze and breakdown the questions but I'm not quite sure what else I'm missing. I will definitely consider meditation and soul-searching.

Failed NCLEX 3X
I've been getting between 60% and 70%. I understand the rationales as well to why I chose the wrong answer but still unable to pass the NCLEX. I have the content down but it may be my critical thinking is to where I am having a problem.

Failed NCLEX 3X
I'm sorry I failed as well. I haven't received my report yet. Maybe in a couple of weeks I will know what exactly I need to focus on. But for now I'm going to have to try and stay positive and keep pushing forward.

Failed NCLEX 3X
Hello, I am writing this article in hopes to find answers. I'm sure I am not the only one having problems with this exam but it sure is frustrating to know that everything I am doing isn't enough. I'm sure there are people like myself who has exerted and expended their efforts into studying and attending review courses but are still failing the exam. I have been studying (Saunders, LaCharity, uWorld) since January, Monday through Saturday, 4-8 hours a day. I have practiced easily over a thousand questions since then and I even attended a local review class last month in order to figure out what I was missing (I have also been using their book as another study guide). My first exam was on 4/20/16 the computer shut off at 75 questions. With my next exam I got up to 166 questions. When I took my exam last Wednesday I ran the whole test to 265. On this third exam I thought I had it because they were giving me the whole orificenal of questions that I didn't get on my first two exams. Failing by the skin of your teeth is truly disappointing. I have been trying to stay positive and grateful for such an opportunity but the mindset can only go so far. I'm at a loss for words and that is why I'm here writing to you all hoping to find a solution, some hope, an epiphany of some sort to help me stay motivated and focus. I hope to find some words of encouragement, advice, or maybe even a group that I can turn to because my life is at a standstill at the moment and I'm just trying to stay positive and look for answers anywhere I can. Thank you for taking the time to read my post I truly appreciate it. Have a great day.

Please bare with me: Nursting test question
I just took my 3rd nursing test and I want some input on one of the questions. Please bare with me as I try to rephrase it as best as possible without leaving out any critical information. The question went something like Which client shows the best client outcome from a 15x12 cm stage II pressure ulcer. I was able to come down to two answers and they were: A: Pressure ulcer is 12x10 with no odor B: Pressure ulcer is 10x8 with drainage I chose B only because it was smaller and weren't specific with what type of drainage. Whether it was purulent, serous, etc. And a lot of people are telling me it was A because of no odor means no infection, but does any type of drainage mean infection? or is it specifically purulent drainage is a sign of infection. So I'm not quite sure myself and am looking for more input. Thanks

2 Tests down 2 Fails Need Help!
thanks for the suggestions dolcevita and pharmgirl. Im probably going to read less and focuse more on the power points and pick out the necessary information needed and focus more on nclex questions. That's what everyone has been saying that has passed in my class. I think its more of analyzing the question, critical thinking, and application. I know all the information and understand it and have no test taking anxiety at all. Prior to the program my pre reqs were average and a couple of classes were above average. I don't have any learning disabilities.

2 Tests down 2 Fails Need Help!
So I've just got back my second exam of nursing school and received the same grade I did from my first test which was a 72. Im so frustrated because I changed my study techniques and didn't do anything to improve my grade. I went from strictly reading for the first test to reading, taking notes, and practicing a moderate amount of questions before the second test and felt better about taking the test and to my surprise still end up with the same grade. SUPER FRUSTRATED, PARANOID, and DISCOURAGED. I have no clue what to do and is hoping for other students who are doing amazing to help me out and give me some advice and insight on what to do. I'm usually not on these forums but I'm really desperate. I cannot get kicked out of this program that isn't an option for me. What should I do?
