Anyone ever worked in Huntington Beach, CA?
HI, sorry it took so long to reply, but I haven't checked this site in a while. I haven't chosen an assignment yet, but I know that I would like to work in Huntington Beach if possible. I hear there is a hosp there, so I'm just in the works of applying for my license and studying for the N-CLEX. How are you doing in the whole process? Have you found anything yet? I'm presently working in Alberta, which province are you in? Let me know how things are going for you! Thanks for the Email!! :)

Is it true that you don't have to write your NCLEX to work in NYC?
Hey Jen, thanks for your reply, but not all states require the NCLEX, that's why I was just asking about New York. You don't have to write it to work in Maine or North or South Carolina. I have friends who work there now, and by law, they accept the canadian exam. A girl I work with said that you don't have to in new york if you are only there under a year, because she has gone, but I wasn't sure whether to just take her word for it, because it almost seems too good to be true. Anyways, thanks again for responding!

Hi, I am from Canada, and I would like to to a 13 week travel assignment in New York, but I was told that you don't have to write your NCLEX if you are only going to be out there for under a year? Is this true? And does anybody have any information about hospitals in New York? Thanks!!

Anyone ever worked in Huntington Beach, CA?
Hi Gomer, Not sure what you meant by which hospital? Are you asking which hospital I work at now in Canada? or if you are asking me about which hospital in CA, then I have no idea, because I haven't been there yet.

Want to travel to US, please Help!
Hi, I am new here, and I was just wondering if anybody out there has done a travelling assignment in California? I've graduated 4 years ago, and I am now in the midst of studying my N-CLEX, so I can go to California for a contract assignment, but I don't know where in California I should go. I have never been there before and would really appreciate any feedback from anybody. I would prefer to live near the ocean in a smaller town. I want to stay away from the larger cities. I also do oncology nursing where I work now. Thanks in advance everyone! I can't wait to hear your stories.

Have I Chosen the Wrong University?
Hi there, I'm a new member as well, but i'm glad to answer your question. I too live in edmonton, and know many people that have taken the course at the UofA that you are taking now, and they all hated it as well, because of classes without teachers and little amount of clinical etc..... I am from New Brunswick and have attended UNB in fredericton and Moncton. If you prefer the smaller class sizes, which is much more comfortable, than I suggest you apply to the UNB campus in Moncton, New Brunswick. I went there and absolutley loved it!! You have so much clinical time and the prof. is with you the whole time. She never leaves the floor or your side. It's so great! the teaching is outstanding, and there's so much to do there. I'd look into it if I were you, if you like the smaller classes. there is approx. 15 per class I would say. If you want more information on phone numbers and who to contact just email me at [email protected], i'd be glad to help you. Good luck!
