  1. To the new hires... what a big accomplishment, Congrats!! To those still waiting to hear.. best wishes!! I have read through this post and found it so helpful as to what the current job market is like. I am currently waiting to be accepted to a nursing program (both ADN and BSN) and just curious if those of you who got the job at UCLA.. did you have your ADN or BSN. I'm trying to figure out which direction to take. From the sounds of it though, it's extremely competitive to get into a new grad program, and perhaps a BSN would be beneficial. Thanks!
  2. I'm currently in my last required pre-req class (Micro) and ready to apply to an ADN program early next year. I am most interested in SMC and was curious what the current wait time is. I saw on their website it is 2-3 semesters, so that means if I apply in March (Spring of 2010), I could potentially be starting Spring 2011 correct? Also, can a SMC ADN graduate or current student provide me with details by day of what a typical week is like? How many hours do you spend in class, at clinicals, studying? Just trying to forecast if I will be able to continue working my part-time job once admitted to the ADN program. Thanks for your help! CP
