hi mYIAKELLI good luck i hope you get the job. i applied for niccu transition since october and i didnt get any call back. i applied to 5west but didnt get picked to move forward. as for me my background was all nicu 5 years but was in philippines and uk experiences. guess that didnt made my application what they wanted because i didnt have usa experience like you and RN0027. i would love to hear how things work out for you :)

Hi I just want to open a thread for those who applied to chla transition rn fellowship program. I have been trying to find answers and all . I hope with this thread we can update each other. for starters you can indicate to which unit you applied to and if you have heard any updates from them :) as for me i applied to niccu . good luck to everyone :)

steppybay i have a last question... since my NY application is almost through, if i take the nclex NY exam and in case I pass, then I go to California deciding to take the BS RN program (if there is one as i prefer bachelors of science degree) , will i still need to take nclex Ca or will they credit NY nclex exam result? thankyou hoping for your response

i see. i know i dont meet the requirement because ny school also did the same thing. the rule that to let the seniors batch completed their cases first so it took me the next year to complete my cases. thankyou for your advice. i think i have to study all over too

so do you suggest that if i still want to be a nurse that i must study all over again and disregard my philippine graduate diploma? if i aim to be in california with my fiance?

thankyou for respondig JustBeachyNurse. i dont want to give up my career as a nurse. i hope there is some way what if i do this ... pass nclex from a different state then transfer to california and surely as steppybay said they will reject because i lack units. will they inform me the units i lack so i can take it and then reapply my license to california? pls do advice.thankyou so much

@steppybay is there any way that i can let them assess my records first so they can inform me of what i lack?

is there a way for me to study and at the same time work? i guess id lose my uninterrupted years of experience as a nicu nurse both in philippines and uk then. is that right?

i am a philippines licensed RN and uk licensed RN. my fiance wants me to move with him to california.and eversince i am a neonatal intensive care unit nurse. if i dont have a california license as a nurse but i want to work as a nursery nurse caring for babies only ... is that possible? then i plan to study same time as working to have income abd hopefully regain as a nicu nurse... is this possible? i hope someone can help me. thankyou so much.

hi zylphRN i would like to ask if the cgfns issued your report, is there an expiry for their report? i havent sent my ny application to the new york nursing board because i plan to aait for the cgfns service report first before sending my application. do you think this is a good idea? also did you start reviewing while waiting for your eligibilility? thankyou so much:)

sorry for this late response, i was so tired after the ivt training that i didnt get to online. accdg to my friend, well im still not sure of it because it was lik just passed on from her that its like any training program, lecturing quiz and demo. so i guess choosing the top 10 will be based on grades like you said official02. still i wish you luck =) i hope what i had written helps you.=)

my friend who also took the training told me that only th top 10 will have the chance to be hired there in nkti. the chance is too slim,...more of luck

thank you for your reply. actually im still unsure if i should join in red cross manila or in red cross qc. but should you join the scheduled programs for you to be considered an active member in red cross? there was 1 time i wet to red cross qc but ends up we were not doing anything so i didnt know if the time i spent there waiting and doing nothing is still considered as a voluntary activity..standing by is also considered a voluntary activity or not?

is anyone here a philippine red cross volunteer at quezon city chapter? i have submitted my resume and the head told me to just wait for the text message for orientation. how can i still be a volunteer because until now i havent receive any text message from anypne from red cross?is it ok if i only volunteer at sundays? hopefully someone from phil red cross volunteer at quezon city would answer this for it will a great help... thanks
