  1. Thanks so much for the insight. I totally agree with you about the importance of what nurses bring to this role, it's a shame that that is changing. It's similar to what happened in the OR with the use of surgical techs rather than RNs - the role is much more than the tasks, there's judgement and ethics involved. Thanks again.
  2. I"m curious as to what kind of negative changes you see coming for RNs in this role. What has your experience been?

Hi all, I know this is an old thread but I am new to this site and am in the process of starting new position as NSQIP and I'm so glad I found this discussion thread because it has helped me decide to go forward with the position. Luckily the RN who previously held the position told me the surgeon in charge is very supportive. Thanks!
