  1. Try Lafayette General. They're expanding and doing renovations so they're looking for nurses. I'm a new graduate as well and I was lucky enough to have gotten the job! Just keep trying!
  2. So we start Jan. 11??!! Ahhh! I was hoping the end of Jan!
  3. My friend is in the accelerated program in Baton Rouge and she says tuition is around 14,000 not including books or scrubs, etc. They split it up into three semesters so for us it would be spring, summer, and fall. My friend got 12,000 in loans and 3,000 for a scholarship. We should get our whole schedule for the semester on orientation day too. They do not give out any grants for those who've graduated with a bachelors already . Hope that helps you out. I've been bugging my friend asking her about everything too and what to expect.
  4. Congrats! I'm excited too! I sent everything in this morning!
  5. Me too! Mines also said I got accepted to the Tulane Medical Center. From what I heard they took the West Jefferson location down because they were still trying to find out what hospital they were gonna work with for clinicals. I'm guessing they couldn't work it out with the west jeff hospital from before and made a contract with Tulane. Just my guess. Congrats to you ccrows8. See you at orientation!
  6. I got in guys! The letter came in yesterday but I didn't check the mail until tonight! No interviews! At least it doesn't say so on the paper! I'm exciiittteeddd!!!!!!!!
  7. I haven't heard anything at all. I'm still waiting as well!
  8. Well, I go to the Lake right now and when I dropped off my recommendation letters I overheard everything about the extension and advertising. They said as long as the application is done before aug. 15th you should be fine. All the letters, transcripts, etc should be sent in asap. So I'm pretty sure you're fine with that. But then again, they always say one thing, then change it up later. I'm also hoping they don't do interviews!
  9. I heard that applicants usually receive letters around the end of October. I've applied to the west jeff location as well so I'm waiting on that. Another thing is that they extended the application due date to September 15th so I don't know if that affects acceptance letters or not. They also put an ad out in Lafayette for students to apply. I'm thinking they do not have enough applicants or the applicants they do have are not that qualified. I wonder why they would extend the due date and put in an ad somewheres. Also, if you look at the OLOL website they don't have the west jeff location on there as an option. They only list east jeff, new orleans & baton rouge. I really wonder what's going on. Anyways, good luck to you junestudent09!
