  1. Hey everyone, I am currently attending the University of Florida. This is my third semester working on my pre-nursing classes. So far I have a 3.307 GPA, which is really not that great and I am really nervous about getting into nursing school anywhere! The ideal option is to get in UF and stay in gainesville...but I am trying to be realistic about my chances. I volunteered in the NICU all summer at Florida Hospital and am currently volunteering in the NICU at Shands. Does anyone think I will get in? Or have any idea of my chances? Unfortuantely, today I called UCF and was informed that if you recieve a C in chemisty they will not even look at your application. I started out as pre-med major at UF and took the higher level chemistry, and ended up with a C, but it doesnt matter that it was a higher level. I can retake the class and try for the B- or higher, but that would mean that I cannot start UCF until Fall 2011, assuming I would get it, which who knows? I am in no way interested in taking a year off either! Since I may not get in up here, the only other place I am interested in living is the Orlando area. I have a few options that I am already researching: Valencia, Florida Hospital of Health Sciences, Herzing, and Seminole Community College. Any one who is attending these school I would love to hear from you, and know your GPAS if you don't mind :) Also your experiences with applying and getting accepted to these schools. Thanks!
