Hey it's been a while since my exam. Yes it did shut off at 75. The question format is : if you don't answer a question right in the specific area ie: peds- it will ask you another question in the same area and if you get it right it will go onto another topic/area/ if you get it wrong it tends to stay in the same area of questioning. They want to see if you know that area. Some of the questions escalate in knowledge base to make sure you know that area of questioning. Thus if you can get a hard one right it will move on. So you can walk away with answering 75 and pass or 265 and pass. It wants to know general knowlledge and if that is what you have you will pass... Remember all of you taking the test. They want to know that you know Maslows...safety and security...yes the patient is seizing..but did you put the siderail up before getting help.......Yes the patient has an open fracture but that color blue to his face comes first....ABC'S.Good Luck to all....Take a breath when you start getting nervous...They want general basic nursing knowledge.....
