  1. Hey all!! Did anyone apply for the Illinois Masonic Medical Center new grad RN Residency program for the July cohort? My friend also applied and she got a rejection e-mail today. I haven't heard anything. Has anyone been accepted?
  2. Hi k6wi!! I am graduating in May with a BSN, and I'm really interested in Rush's NNP program, eventually. Like you, I would like to work for a year, and then apply. I actually went to a meeting at Rush about the program, and they said they won't take anyone without at least 2 years of experience. However, they said that you could apply with 1 year of experience and get accepted if you would have 2 years of experience by the time of beginning the program. They were really really pushing on the experience. You shouldn't have a problem with your GPA. Where do you work? Do you have any suggestions of which NICUs in the area are good to work at? Do you know when your unit will start to hire new grads? THANKS!!! -Sam
  3. Hi Kathyz, Northshore healthcare is AWESOME!!! I live in Northbrook, so I am very familiar with NSH. I am a Senior right now, graduating in May. I am SO nervous about getting a job, especially because I am very picky want to work either NICU or L&D. I have summer externship experience in both. Was is hard getting a job with NSH? I have been watching the job availability online, and I saw no jobs all summer geared towards new grads. How did you end up with a job with them? Any advice????
