  1. I would say 'no.' The medication is designed to be aborbed in a certain mechanism, and if it is a different form it can cause damage to the mucous membranes, etc (not specifically aspirin, but any medication in general).
  2. How we were taught is that you can give UP to 15 mg within 3 hours, but you cannot give any more from the last point in which they received the max dose. ie. If you gave 5mg at 1200, and then 10mg at 1300, you cannot give any more until three hours after they reached the max dose (1600).
  3. I definitely do not want to go to the US for my education. I had a friend who did that, and had a lot of trouble finding a job when she came back because of the discrepency of quality of education at different schools. It took her over two years to find a job, despite there being plenty of available positions. Is there any other Canadian education NPs on here that I could speak/email with?? Thanks!
  4. Hi there, I am currently a BScN-RN working in CV surgery at a downtown hospital. I am planning on applying to NP school (Primary, not acute) this fall, for September 2009 entry. By that point, I will have just over the minimum length of experience required, so I am planning on applying to as many schools as possible to better my options. I was just wondering about other people's experiences with applying to NP schools, specifically in Canada. Any information or advice that anyone may have would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks. 5. Personally I would get my kid circumsized.. Yes, I know it is 'said' to be painful, but I had a friend who got it done when he was 17 (because he was tired of being ashamed of it), and he told me that sex is much better circumsized... and I figure he is one of those people who can truly say the truth! Also, the last thing I would want would be my son to be ashamed of his member, or to have girls making fun of it, calling it a sherpei (those wrinkly dogs), or saying that it was wearing a turtle neck or soemthing...
