All the papers that are asking for 2 letter of recommendation and stuff i think might be for the Baptist program which is a scholarship that pays for your tuition if you get accepted. As for taking sociology next semester did you apply for Winter 2010 or Spring of 2010 because i think you need to have all your prereqs done b4 you start nursing. Also if you didn't get a call for an interview for ft myers then it doesn't matter cuz you got into ft.lauderdale. Hope this was helpful

btw, what is baptist? Like i know its a hospital but is it also a school? And if you get accepted it covers the whole tuition and all you have to do is work 3 years for them? IS there a catch !? lol

i think it sux that nova sent this stuff out soo late...and i had finals the same week and trying to fill out that stuff haha. oh well

Is the physical exam include a drug test? I thought usually when trying to get into a health profession they require drug tests but i did not see it anywhere on the sheet. Thanks for the help

wow thats a late interview. Uhm well my letter was dated nov 4th and I had my interview oct 20th soo i guess you would get yours around dec 4th? Sorry couldn't help much, if worse comes to worse i suggest you call in or go to campus and talk to the rep. :) hope all goes well

Hey riza4shizo0, I am very anxious to know whats going on too! I was raised in Florida pretty much my whole life but I'm half Japanese and half Guatemalan (crazy mix I know) and I'm a male. How about you? Where are you from etc. Mvaz003, I had my interview October 20 and I was suppose to receive the letter novermber 4th but it got delayed to nov. 21th. Just be patient or call in to see whats going on. There is only one student rep. now and there use to be two. One quit sooo the other one is pretty much really slammed with all the work she has to do. The best way i know how to get a hold of her is to actually meet up with her at her office and speak to her. She is very patient and kind but i know if your anything like me its sorta a long drive just to ask one question. Hope this was helpful.

Yup, I got in too. But i got my letter soo late because the letter did not carry a postage. Now i'm sorta rushing to finish some of the stuff i have to do. BUT HURAYYY. also i heard we are going to receive in the mail further instructions on what we need to do. Like when orientation date is, immunizations, etc.

The essay was to write what road signs let you to be a nurse and u have 10 min to write that. They ask a bunch of interview questions, the one i had trouble with was when the asked me what was the most successful or the greatest thing i achieved in my life. The interview is only like 10 min and they're very friendly so don't stress at all. Wish you luck tell me how everything goes.

Hey! Don't worry to much I'm sure you did fine! But yeah, reading ur response made me feel anxious and nervous myself hahaa. Who gave you the interview? I heard sometimes professors of the nursing program there are the ones that do it. *sighhh* . ... . . . . Oh yeah also what did you wear? very formal right? blah. yeah nova is far from me too. I live in boca so it would take around 45min-1hr depending on traffic and if i was speeding. I feel your PAIN!!! I have only heard a few things about the essay we write at the interview. It could either be a topic about a video you watch or the generic "why do you want to be a nurse". I know that does not help much...but *shrugs*. What time is your interview 2morrow? and if i don't respond tonight its cuz my internet is acting up and will get back to you 2morrow. GOOD LUCK!!!
