Graduating today
well my long journey has not come to an end but is just now beginning, today is graduation for me and I'm so excited and blessed to be here. My program was a year long, for the first trimester it was M-F 8am-3:30pm and the school was a hour away from me the second trimester was M-F 7am-3:30pm two days out of the week and 8am-3:30pm the last two sometimes that Friday. When the second trimester hit my husband had to go to Iraq for 8 months and I have 4 kids so I became difficult being a single mom of 4 kids with no family here with me to help. But I say if I can do it anyone can and a week before my graduation my dear husband came back safely so he will be there rooting me on tonight. Thank you all for listen and remember you all can do anything you set your minds to. :)

Anyone take the HESI?
My school requires a 850 to be able to graduate from our PN program. I am not gonna lie I am not and have never been a studier....well to my own demise when I took the Hesi the first time I score a 799. I am a mother of 4 kids and my husband was in Iraq for 8 of the 12 months while I was in school and my school was 1 hour away so I did a lot of driving everyday and making sure my kids were taken care of by lonely old me lol so I had enough stress on me so, a week and a half before taking the test a second time my hubby came home safely. He studied NCLEX-PN review cards with me almost every night and I did college network questions and use the Hesi book and CD review questions every once in a while this was very helpful for me and with all the confidence my hubby put in me that I was gonna pass the test I went in a total wreck lmbo because of the expectations everyone had in me because I did so well in class for the past year and I never really studied I guess because I heard the information in class I kinda just soaked it in well.. for Hesi i knew I had to change my whole strategy and on Sept 14th I went in to take the Hesi again with 4 other classmates and score a 960 and tomorrow is graduation so I wouldnt stress myself out like crazy but studying does help out a lot so good luck to all and congrats to all who passed.

New LPN students to start soon !! Come share your experiences :)
Well... I start Monday Sept. 21, I am really excited about starting and can't wait to get started because I have been in school already for a general degree and took med. term. courses and A&P and a few other medical courses just to get myself prepared for nursing school. I am a little nervous about starting clinicals in Jan. because that is when my husband deploys to Balad and I have 4 children at home, I am not saying I can't do it because we can do all things we put our minds to, I am just a little nervous about the work load for me and doing it alone. But I guess I will cross that hurdle when it comes up. Thanks for listening and good luck to all
