I am starting the LPN program 9/28/2009:) I attented Ivy Tech for 2 years and none of my credits transferred, yeah that part stinks! It is also very expensive. My reason for choosing MedTech instead of waiting to get into Ivy Tech's program is simple. I will be taking my classes and clinicals at night. I have four children so this is EXTREMELY helpful when it comes to the cost of daycare. I am actually saving money:) I have read a lot of posts about it being so "easy" to get into the program. I don't agree with that either. I took the TEAS test 3 times prior to taking it at MedTech and I have to say that the TEAS I took at MedTech was so much harder. I eventually want to become an RN as well, and I have already started talking to schools online about getting into a LPN-RN program. If that doesn't work, MedTech does offer a LPN-RN program that is 12 months long. My plan is once I start working, I hope someone else will foot some of the bill for me to continue:)
