I'll be attending the January Class- just received my admission notification today! I haven't visited the school but I am very eager to obtain my nursing degree and from my query to students and those who have visited, it sounds very nice (: I am sure they will obtain accredition in the near future! anyone else?

hey jenn thanks for replying but now I am confused! what 5 science classes are ya referring to? anatomy 1 and 2 and what else? cuz isn't it just anatomy 1 and 2 and any other 3 courses you want (for non generic)? is that what you have a 3.6 in? what do you mean you have a 4.0 at miami dade but 3.6 science? sooo confused

what about you shen- did you apply for both? and what was your gpa?

aw thanks! you're right! not gonna give up hope- i am hoping maybe people applied to both and perhaps will choose one or the other leaving room for more admissions or something. but man- the past two months have been depressing

so shen made a post on another forum that if you got an email re: nursing scholarships, its a sign you're in. I did not get one, but if you did, can you note what program you applied for and gpa so we can get a sense of who is getting it? thanks

yeah I called yesterday and they said they wouldn't send out applications until the end of the month? (previously they told me we'd hear by mid-october) and wouldn't connect me to an adviser (: the worst was last week when I got connected to the adviser and the adviser said "hold one minute" and then connected me to her voicemail! last time I am calling. I guess its hard on both ends since everyone is driving them crazy but meanwhile we're going crazy. maybe they're waiting for some definitive details like how many seats they are gonna accept, etc... I mean maybe they aren't entirely sure what the cutoff is? I have bare threads of hope.

and by almost the same, above 3.8 or below 3.8?

because their program admission isn't as logical.. as it should be. olofin, what did she exactly say regarding the cut off... what were her literal words? you first said "it looks like it is going to be the same" then you said "its almost the same" those are different things..

thanks olofin: so she said it looked like the same cut or that it was "close to?" meaning less?????.... cuz people reject seats all the time, so I imagine, if people, reject, then we'd have an ok chance of getting in second round y'know?? considering a 3.7 last time put people on some sort of alternate list that they took forever to send letters too. I have the same gpa as you olofin so lets hope we both get in.. i too can't afford anything else =/

OLOFIN: how did she sound sad? she said explicitly that it was CLOSE to a 3.8? or that it "looked like the same gpa" big difference there... and if its close to, I don't get why she'd sound sad.. a 3.75 is pretty damn close. wanna know the details please! then not going on this forum anymore.. seems like everything else is just stuff they tell people for whatever reason so they'll stop calling.

olofin, did she say it was definitively a 3.8? still confused on that score what did she say when you told her your gpa; i mean don't you have a 3.75?? thats pretty close

olofin- did they say it was a 3.8 or "around a 3.8" around a 3.8 could mean 3.75 or so.

can you reply or PM me if you know if one finishes in december if they start in january, and if one is allowed to work in florida post graduation? eager to get info asap

hey! I was wondering, if one starts the remington program in january, do they finish in december of that same year? likewise, when one graduates, they will be approved to work in florida correct?? I know you can sit for the RN test, but is there full regional approval to work here? thanks!
